Beloved sistars,

Holding space is sacred work, but it requires a full cup. Over the past few weeks, I have taken an intentional event break to listen deeply to my own body and nervous system.

What my body told me is that it is time to stop talking, stop instructing, and start feeling.

When Movement Meetups returns, we are stepping into a profound new era: The Silent Container.

Our next gatherings will require nothing from your intellect, and absolutely nothing from mine. No verbal instructions. No performance. No talking.

Just a curated, continuous 60-minute wave of sound designed specifically for melanated women to untangle their spirits through three distinct phases:

Yoga: To land deeply in our roots.
Somatic Play: To shake out stored tension and collective weight.
Dance: To celebrate our raw, fluid, and unedited power.

I will open the space with a simple welcome, and then we let the music do the heavy lifting. You are invited to come show up, drop the armor, and move exactly as you are.

Casting call: Nana Baluku — a transformative performance journey exploring nature as a guide, story, and source of wisdom & grounding.

We are seeking 7 dancers and 1 female musician ready to move as one collective body — an embodiment of the audacity, power, and evolution.

Peace Sistar, the village is calling!🛖✨

This month in our circle we talked about reach — and reach isn’t about grabbing everything in front of you. It’s about discernment. It’s the crown chakra work. It’s that quiet knowing that tells you ‘this is mine’ or ‘this isn’t mine, keep walking.’

I used to say yes to everything because I was scared the opportunity wouldn’t come back around. But discernment taught me — if it’s for you, it’ll still be there when you’re ready. And if you have to force it, abandon yourself to fit it, or shrink to make it work… that’s not reach. That’s just reaching for anything to feel like you’re moving.

If you haven’t heard yet, every second Sunday, we hold space for the village to gather and set intention toward a new theme in our nine month chakra series.
