Day 1 London - found my people!

08/11/2026

Sickness doesn’t show up out of thin air. It’s usually a complex combination.

Most diseases and their symptoms are a warning sign that things have gone off the rails and the body needs support.

One of the most overlooked factors is stress and a dis-regulated nervous system. In my case, this was a huge contributing factor to my cancer diagnosis.

I had spent YEARS in a dysfunctional marriage. The emotional abuse was strong and the verbal abuse skyrocketed after my divorce. Pair that with my lack of healthy coping skills and it was a recipe for disaster.

Even though I remarried, I still didn’t have the right skills. I found myself running the rat race, eating for convenience, mostly sedentary, drinking to relax - I was in survival mode and didn’t even know it.

After my diagnosis I started to learn the impact my emotional and mental wellness had on my overall health. I not only needed to reduce my stress load, but I needed to address my nervous system.

Fast forward and here are the things that have helped me changed, heal and respond:

🙏Prayer - it took me a hot minute to get on board with this, but once I completely surrendered and quit trying to be in control everything changed.

✨NetworkSpinal Therapy - this unique therapy focuses on reorganizing the nervous system and releasing the STUCK trauma that the body is holding on to. This therapy has been life changing.

🏃🏼‍♀️Exercise - this is an incredible stress reliever. I quit thinking it was something I had to do and realized it was something I got to do to support my body.

🍻Drop the booze - I didn’t realize how much anxiety and stress alcohol was causing. What felt like relief had horrible after effects that wrecked havoc on my mental wellbeing.

🥦Conscious Eating - focus on clean Whole Foods and minimizing eating out. At first it was hard and felt like a burden, but as time went on and my body learned the difference, it was a vital part of my healing.

What else would you add to this list?

The scariest and loneliest words: “you have cancer”.

This page is for someone who has heard those words and wants to make a massive change.

Not because you have to or because it’s the right thing, but because deep down inside you have been wanting to change for years.

And now you have permission.

This journey is not perfect. It takes grit and determination, but more importantly it takes discovering your higher purpose and relentlessly perusing it.

It takes learning what your body needs and taking it one step at a time.

Today my steps took me on a morning run.
Not because I had to, but because I wanted to and in doing hard things that is where I can grow.

Where will your steps take you this morning? Maybe it will take you to the mailbox and back... that’s where I started.

This is NOT okay. There is legislation to blend our military with a foreign government. PLEASE READ and write your representative!

As political pressure builds to reduce U.S. military assistance to Israel, Section 224 provides the framework for continuing - and expanding - U.S.-Israel military ties by entrenching Israeli technology within the U.S. defense supply chain in a way that would shield it from the annual appropriations

Inaugural Race for BCP Division
@ World Dragon Boat Racing Championship

Team,

Take a moment. Look around at each other. Feel this moment — breathe it in. Because this? This is no ordinary race. This is history. This is a triumph.

Every stroke that brought you here was earned — not just through training or sweat, but through every battle you’ve fought long before you ever picked up a paddle. You are not just athletes. You are survivors. Warriors. Trailblazers. You’ve come through fear, through surgeries, through treatments, through pain that few truly understand. And today, you’ll sit in those boats not as broken — but as unbreakable.

This inaugural world competition isn’t just about medals or rankings. It’s about making a statement to the world — that breast cancer did not defeat us. That we are still here. Stronger. Fiercer. Together.

You paddle today for more than just yourselves. You paddle for the sisters who cheer from home — the ones who’ve walked this path, the ones still fighting, and the ones who we carry with us in memory. You carry their names in your hearts and their spirits in your strokes. You show the world what resilience looks like. What unity feels like.

And for those who have yet to be diagnosed — who don’t yet know they’ll one day need courage like yours — you are their light in the storm. A living promise that there is strength after diagnosis, hope after hardship, and joy even after sorrow.

So when that start horn blows, paddle with everything you are — and everything you’ve overcome. Paddle not just to win, but to inspire. To honor. To breathe fire with life.

Let the world see: we are not just survivors — we are champions.

Now go out there — and leave it all on the water.

He’s powered ON!

Parkinson’s is an incredibly complex disease. Today was the day that he got his DBS (Deep Brain Stimulation) device turned on.

Parkinson’s is a motor movement disorder What you can see is the tremors and slowness. What you cannot see is how it affects sleep, walking, balance, swallowing, speaking, rigidity, handwriting, digestion and so much more.

DBS is not a cure and does not slow down the progression. It works in tandem with medication to improve quality of life and treatment efficacy. It’s not one size fits all. He was eligible for this treatment, but not everyone is because of different complications, age, cognitive issues and other reasons.

Its been a process of 2 surgeries, 6 weeks of healing to get to this day, and the effects were noticeable. He will continue to fine tune the DBS device over the next 6-12months to find the sweet spot, but for now we are incredibly thankful for this technology and healing.

More to come! Feel free to ask any questions.

Soft scrambled pasture-raised eggs, mineral-rich greens, fiber-packed black beans, living fermented kimchi, broccoli sprouts, and a bright hit of pickled jalapeno - this is the kind of breakfast that loves you back. Every ingredient brings something: protein for strength, fiber for gut and hormone support, fermented foods for microbiome diversity, and cruciferous sprouts for potent phytonutrients linked to cellular defense. With most women getting far less fiber than they need, meals like this are a reminder that wellness can be beautiful, simple, and deeply functional. Eat fresh. Eat colorfully. Eat like your future health depends on it - because it does.

Beauty starts in the gut, and wellness starts on the plate.

In the beginning the only reason I changed my lifestyle was to give myself better odds. Reduce the chance of recurrence from a breast cancer diagnosis.

What I didn’t know was how good I would feel. For 50 years I didn’t know what it was to FEEL GOOD. I was blindly going through life doing all the “normal” things, but I felt exhausted, I felt stressed, and I always felt sick. And just when I started to feel good, I would sabotage it for the sake of fun.

Interesting part is I didn’t know what FUN was.

Today fun is going to bed early because I prioritize my sleep and love waking up early to a slow morning.

Fun is growing and cooking clean food and limiting how much I eat out because I feel better and now know the difference.

Fun is setting a crazy goal and going after it like making Team USA, and reaping the rewards of my efforts.

Fun is going to a party or my daughter’s wedding and drinking sparkling water instead of alcohol and dancing the night away and not waking up with a hangover!

Fun is regulating my nervous system and processing trauma through NetworkSpinal therapy, so I can be present and not live in survival mode.

You can have FUN too. I hope to inspire others to live their best life and care for their body like you would a precious child. You deserve all the fun and feel good that comes along with it!

Recovery is unique to you as your DNA. There is no one size fits all.

What I’ve learned is putting in the hard work and recovery is all a mindset. You have to want it and understand why you’re doing it. It’s personal.

For me it’s because I want to prove to myself that I can do hard things and I want to feel the reward. I’m motivated by outcomes. I want to inspire others to do hard things. It’s on going and ever evolving, and that’s exciting! I’m constantly learning and putting myself in situations that force me to grow 💃🏼

These are the things that are a part of my recovery today:

💦Hydrogen Water: helps clear out lactic acid and hydrates my cells faster and more complete. It also promotes healthy cells, reduces inflammation and supports my healing journey.

💪🏼Creatine: helps build muscle, promotes mental clarity and fights fatigue. Work with your health professionals if this is right for you.

🍗Protein: essential for rebuilding muscle. As an athlete this is priority with each meal, but it’s also essential in supporting my immune system and maintaining good metabolic health.

🧂Epsom Salt baths - I feel like this is my secret weapon. Daily baths relaxing my muscles, reduce cortisol, and aids in my recovery.

What are your essential recovery tools?
