The day our lives came crashing down 5 years ago.
The day Avery was diagnosed with Leukemia at 7 weeks old.
Everything changed for us that day. Helping Avery fight became our top priority.
If you were here for those first two years, you know how hard she fought.
The chemo, CAR-T Therapy and Bone Marrow Transplant were anything but easy.
She had multiple ICU stays and there were times we didn’t think she’d make it.
There was one time in particular where our family was gathered in the hospital parking lot to say their last goodbyes.
It was terrifying, to say the least.
BUT, we’re “lucky” in the fact that Avery is now 5 years old and 4 years cancer free!
We lost many little warrior friends along the way—and have friends that are still fighting. 🎗️
Avery still has her challenges, but she is doing more than surviving. She is THRIVING!
Each day brings something new with her and she is such a joy to be around.
Keep going, Avery! 💛
