UPDATE: BAND TRANSPORTATION

Per Band Director Mr. Wyrick, the Little Rock School District has agreed to cover the cost of a U-Haul for the remainder of the season for HOME games.

Mr. Wyrick and Fine Arts Coordinator Dr. Johnson are working together to obtain pricing and explore options for purchasing a new trailer that will properly accommodate the band’s instruments and equipment.

We are still seeking community support, resources, donations, sponsorships, or connections that could help us obtain a permanent trailer.

The Parkview Band deserves the proper resources and equipment needed to travel safely and efficiently. If you, your business, organization, or someone you know may be able to assist with securing a trailer or connecting us with a company that can help, please reach out.

🚨 PARKVIEW HIGH SCHOOL BAND NEEDS OUR HELP! 🚨

Due to ongoing funding challenges and what many parents feel is an imbalance in support, the award-winning Parkview High School Band is in DESPERATE need of a trailer or box truck to safely transport instruments and equipment to and from games and events.

Tonight alone, parents are having to scramble at the last minute to figure out transportation for instruments because there simply isn’t enough transportation available for the band.

And unfortunately, when transportation is limited, the football team takes priority, leaving our band students and their families trying to figure out how to get hundreds of pounds of instruments and equipment where they need to go.

These students work HARD. They practice for hours, represent their school with pride, travel, compete, and continue to produce an award-winning program. They deserve the resources and support necessary to participate without their parents having to constantly scramble to fill the gaps.

📣 WE NEED A TRAILER OR BOX TRUCK!

If you have:
• A trailer or box truck you would be willing to donate
• A business willing to sponsor or purchase one
• A connection to someone who can help
• Transportation resources available for the band
• Or simply want to help us raise the money to purchase one

PLEASE REACH OUT.

This isn’t about taking anything away from our football players. Our band students deserve support, too. 🎺🥁🎷

Let’s come together as a community and make sure these kids have what they need to succeed! ❤️💙
