7–8/10 knee pain. Three months later, his answer surprised even me.

I want women to know their options while they still have options.

That is why I chose to share my message in D Magazine.

I have spent decades performing image guided spine and joint procedures, but I also understand this from the other side of the procedure table. I have personally chosen PRP and bone marrow based orthobiologic treatments for my own shoulders, hip, knee, wrists, and hands.

Years ago, I was told I would likely eventually need both shoulders replaced.

So when a patient asks me, “What would you do if this were your joint?” I have actually had to answer that question for myself.

In this video, I explain why I want women throughout Dallas Fort Worth to understand PRP, bone marrow concentrate, joint preservation, and their orthobiologic options before assuming joint replacement or spine surgery is inevitable.

Sometimes surgery is absolutely the right answer. But before making that decision, know what options you still have.

The trip you hesitate to book.
The stairs you avoid.
The workout you stop doing.
And eventually, the conversation about joint replacement.
That is why I put an ad in D Magazine.
I want women across Dallas Fort Worth to know that PRP, bone marrow concentrate, and other orthobiologic treatments may offer appropriately selected patients another option for preserving their own joints before surgery becomes necessary.
And I understand this from both sides.
I am fellowship trained, double board certified in Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine, with decades of experience performing image guided spine and joint procedures.
But I am also the patient.
I have chosen PRP and bone marrow based treatments for my own shoulders, hip, knee, wrists, and hands. Years ago, I was told I would likely eventually need both shoulders replaced.
