🎨 ARTIST SPOTLIGHT: VICTORIA JACKSON

Meet Victoria Jackson, a Texas-born artist whose bold, colorful work blends culture, mixed media, and a distinctive Western edge.

Victoria earned her BFA in Drawing and Painting from the University of North Texas. Inspired by her multiethnic background, she works across acrylic, mixed media, and collage to create expressive compositions full of color, texture, and personality.
Her artistic practice extends beyond the gallery. A professional tattoo artist since 2013, Victoria’s experience with tattooing has heavily influenced her visual style and approach to creating art.

For Louder Than Stigma Fest, Victoria has transformed a denim jacket into a one-of-a-kind piece of wearable art featuring a bold Western-inspired skull, statement cowboy hat, hand-stitched details, layered lettering, and vibrant paint accents. 🤠🎨

Swipe ➡️ to get a closer look at Victoria’s wearable art piece and see the incredible details from every angle!

Her jacket will be part of the wearable art auction, giving attendees a chance to take home an original piece while supporting free mental health services for Texas adults.

🎨 FEATURED ARTIST: MICHELLE DEKKERS 🎨

We’re thrilled to spotlight Michelle Dekkers, a Dallas-based artist and designer whose work is all about bold color, playful imagery, pop culture, and unexpected combinations of materials.

Michelle has been creating art since childhood and professionally for the past 10 years, working across painting, illustration, murals, and design. Her creative practice is a perfect reflection of what Louder Than Stigma Fest is all about: using art and self-expression as a way to explore who we are and connect with others.

For Louder Than Stigma, Michelle created a one-of-a-kind wearable tribute to Dolly Parton — celebrating Dolly’s unapologetic individuality and her belief in being fully, authentically yourself.

💫 Art, music, movement, and the pursuit of whimsy can be incredible ways to explore who we are, express the parts of ourselves that don’t always have words, and give ourselves permission to be a little weird, a little sparkly, and completely ourselves.

This piece is ultimately a celebration of self-expression and the courage to find out who you are and do it on purpose.

And that’s exactly what we’re celebrating at Louder Than Stigma. ❤️

Come see Michelle’s incredible creation and experience an event where art, music, and mental health come together to challenge stigma and create connection.
