The LHSON fondly remembers our namesake, Mrs. Louise Herrington Ornelas, affectionately known as Ms. Lou, on her birthday, June 15. She passed away on December 18, 2018 but will always be very dear to us. We are grateful to Ms. Lou and her family for all their generosity over the years.

Today the Baylor University Louise Herrington School of Nursing welcomed Tanya M. Sudia, Ph.D., R.N., FNAP, FAAN, Tenured Professor of Nursing as the 10th Dean in the legacy of leadership. She also served at the LHSON in 2014-2019 as the school’s inaugural Associate Dean for Research and Scholarship.
