Post‑holiday Mondays hit different.

I’m not trying to reinvent my life today — I’m just trying to get back into a rhythm that feels doable. One thing at a time. One small win at a time. One “okay, that’s done” at a time.

Today’s goal is simple: get it together… just a little. Reset the space, reset the energy, reset the expectations. Progress over perfection. Momentum over pressure. Showing up over spiraling.

If you’re also winging it, rebuilding your routine, or staring at your to‑do list like “absolutely not”… same.

Here’s to steady energy, small steps, and a week that feels better than last.

DFW Spring Break Staycation ✅
and we didn’t need a single flight!

Here’s how our week went:

🎬 Monday — Hooky’s (movies +
bowling + arcade) + Little Katana
for sushi dinner 🍣

🎡 Tuesday — Peppa Pig World at
Grapevine Mills + 11Max + Chilangos
for dinner 🌮

🏎️ Wednesday — Adventure Landing
(go karts, laser tag, mini golf,
arcade) + La Margarita 🍹

🚤 Thursday — Skipped the Epic
Waters chaos, pivoted to Grapevine,
floaty on the boat + H Mart & Paris Baguette brunch 🥐

🏥 Friday — spent the day at the
hospital with Kannon. Hard day.
But he’s part of our why for everything. 💚

⛳ Saturday — Sunset dinner at
Brookhaven with friends on the
golf course 🌅

This city is it. DFW keeps
delivering every single time. 💚

The end of Spring Break didn’t go as planned — but maybe it went exactly as it was supposed to.

While the first half way filled with more fun and adventure then we could have hoped for, the second half went something like this…

My youngest ended up needing surgery to remove a piece of wood that had worked its way deep into his foot. What started as a family effort to try and fix it turned into something much bigger than we expected.

Watching him be brave through all of it wrecked me in the best way. 🥺

Having our whole family together to surround him reminded me of what actually matters. Not the trips. Not the plans. This. These people. This health. This life.

God has a way of rearranging things right when you need the reminder most. 🤍
