If you didn't receive this months newsletter and our back-to-school guide, I've included some helpful reminders below. You can sign up for our newsletter here: https://simpleveda.com/
As the kids head back to school and routines begin to settle, I always think of this as an opportunity to reset - not just for our families, but for ourselves. Many of us have traveled, which can disturb agni, digestion as well as our sleep and mood.
Rather than waiting until January to create healthier habits, let this seasonal transition be your invitation to come back to the routines that help you feel your best.
Consider choosing just one or two small practices to recommit to this month:
* Set a consistent sleep + wake time. What works for me is a 9pm bedtime and a 6am wake time.
* Step outside for a few minutes of morning sunlight
* Move your body every day - even a walk counts
* Plan a few nourishing meals and stock your kitchen with seasonal foods
* Create screen-free time in the evening to help your nervous system unwind
* Spend a few quiet minutes meditating, praying, journaling, or simply breathing. I like to do this before anyone else in the house is awake.
* Take a break from alcohol and excessive caffeine and notice how your body responds - you don't have to wait until the cleanse or the start of the year!
* Schedule your SimpleVeda appointments that support your well-being before life gets busy again, whether that's a marma therapy, shirodhara, or perhaps another form of self-care like yoga or a sound bath class.
Remember, wellness isn't built through dramatic changes. It's the small, consistent rituals that become the foundation for how we feel throughout the season.
