Yesterday wasn’t just a launch - it was the beginning of a movement. 🚛⚡

The energy surrounding the official launch of TEXO Foundation’s Be Pro Be Proud initiative was undeniable. Students, educators, industry leaders and community partners came together to celebrate a bold new way to introduce the next generation to the skilled trades and the incredible careers waiting for them.

We were honored to hear from:
🔹 Dr. Justin H. Lonon, Chancellor, Dallas College
🔹 Andrew Parker, National Executive Director, Be Pro Be Proud
🔹 Meloni Raney, President & CEO, TEXO The Construction Association, TEXO Foundation
🔹 Tara Tenorio, Community Development Regional Manager, Meta
🔹 Senator Brent Hagenbuch, State of Texas
🔹 Chairman Joe Esparza, Texas Workforce Commission

Together, their messages reflected the collaboration and commitment needed to strengthen North Texas’ workforce, expand awareness of career and technical education, and build a stronger talent pipeline for the future.

We’re still riding the momentum, and this is only the beginning. More highlights, photos and gratitude are coming soon!

North Texas, the future of our workforce is officially in motion. Let’s get to work!

We’re excited to welcome Chris Grimaldo as our Be Pro Be Proud Texas Manager! 🦺👏

Chris brings a unique perspective to Be Pro Be Proud, with a career that has taken him from the skilled trades, to the classroom, and now to connecting the next generation with opportunities across Texas.

He began his career as a cabinetmaker at Gulfstream before moving into leadership roles supervising interior installation crews on VVIP aircraft, including the Airbus A320 and Boeing 747. ✈️
He later brought that real-world experience into the classroom, teaching math and construction through CTE programs and creating hands-on learning opportunities that connected students directly with industry professionals and employers.

Now, Chris is bringing those experiences together to help grow Be Pro Be Proud Texas and build stronger connections between students, educators, industry, and communities across the state.

We’re so excited to have Chris on board and can’t wait to see the impact he makes!👏
