12/12, Celebrating a special day!! Dec 12, 2019 was the day I launched my first Coaching page! It was a huge life pivot at the time. Looking back it’s taken me to places, rooms, and relationships I could have never imagined.

The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that believing in yourself and in what you do is the most important thing. There is a certain energy, commitment, and resilience that comes with passion and purpose.

My belief in the coaching industry has compounded over the last 6 years as I’ve seen so many transformations happen, including my own.

Coaching means we’re growing, we’re learning, and we’re never alone on the way. I hope everyone has a coach!!

Thank you all for being here! ❤️

There’s one thing I never stop doing, which is putting myself in rooms where women talk about their dreams!

I think it can be easy to put off or suppress our big, hairy dreams as we get older and have more and more responsibilities — relationships, kids, finances, job titles. Life becomes more routine and demanding.

But the energy of women talking about and going for their dreams is potent and life giving! It’s vulnerable and scary and refreshing and empowering all at once.

The world needs more women audaciously chasing their dreams!

One day I’m going to create rooms like this for women in my corner of the world. Until then you will 100% find me searching ones already open! 🫶🏻💫💓

It’s not what you know...it’s what you do.

Taking a step towards what you want often involves turning away from the noise of outside opinions.

To put your blinders on. 🕶️

Shifting from the student to student of s e l f.

For years I would make a plan to be “healthier,” and by the afternoon of day 1, I would have 10 new ideas of things I should try/incorporate. 🗣️

The endless IG scroll of wellness influencers, podcasts & videos preaching what worked for them, or the top 10 ways to do x, y, z.

Not giving ONE plan long enough time to have a chance to work.

I’m always craving to learn new ideas, but with endless information & conflicting ideas out there - but I was constantly consuming, over complicating, & not actually DOING. ⛔️

It was like pressing the gas pedal & the brakes at the same time.

There comes a time when you know e n o u g h.

I decided to mute the food blogs, pause the influencers, & put my focus on MY LANE for a while. 🎧

One plan, one focus. 💡
Until it became easy. 💫

I found that I learned more from my own EXPERIENCE of trying things out than I could have from someone else’s.

Bc in the end, it has to work for YOU! 💓

We have a lifetime to learn more & pivot.

You are the teacher, AND, you are the student (of self). 🌝

One step at a time.

Blinders on! 😎

Chasing waterfalls has never been this good! 💦

In my opinion, one of the best benefits of finding peace with food & my body is the freedom I feel TRAVELING.

🫶🏻 Freedom of crash diets or over exercising before
🫶🏻 Freedom of over or under eating during
🫶🏻 Freedom of my mind & obsessing about my body
🫶🏻 Freedom to LIVE & SAVOR the moments

If I had a penny for every crash diet I’ve done to prep for a trip.

Or every time I’ve not taken a picture in a swimsuit.

Or ran into the ocean with people watching.

Or been caught walking around without a swimsuit cover or towel…

Ugh. 🙇‍♀️💰

We’re missing out on the good stuff!

On actually l i v i n g.

The moments we look forward to get clouded by insecurity & unbalanced thinking.

Wellness used to be a switch I flipped on & off.

I was either dieting & being “healthy.”

Or, I was absolutely NOT.

It was constant yo/yo.

Exhausting.
Consuming.
Frustrating.

Everything changes when we stop dieting & create a LIFESTYLE. 🔥

When you embody wellness & balance.

It simply becomes who you are. 💓

And there is so much f r e e d o m that comes with it.

Traveling with a balance has CHANGED THE GAME.

I used to travel to free myself. Now I’m free, & I travel. 🌎

My path to freedom w/food was not thru discipline & following rules. 🙇‍♀️

By eliminating food groups.

Or finding the “right” diet.

That strategy only made me feel more stuck & less confident.

It wasn’t that I didn’t know what “healthy” food was.

It was that my relationship with food was not healthy.

And the FOUNDATION of food freedom is your relationship to it.

This is what helped me:
✨I learned to lead my own nutrition & body by combining science & intuition, finding what made me feel GREAT & fit with my lifestyle
✨I learned to understand my emotions, habits, triggers, & self-worth
✨I aligned with who I really am & created a life that LIT me up

Instead of controlling more, I let go & allowed for balance.

The more fulfilled I felt about my life, the less food was a topic of thought. ❤️‍🔥

Bc our relationship to food often reflects our relationship to SELF. 🪞

If you are like me, rules & restriction are never going to give me life I want.

Knowledge & c h o i c e will. ✨

Learn to lead 👑

REAL TALK: The past year has been some of the most intense shedding I’ve experienced.

Thru the raw, vulnerable, challenges of change.

The more conscious & present I become, the more awareness I have of who I really am, the parts of myself I’m letting go of & the sides I’m stepping into.

Taking radical ownership of my happiness. Full responsibility for my experience in life. Complete accountability for the way I feel.

Loosening my grip on outside conditions to make me happy.

Rather, choosing to be
independently
internally
h a p p y.

Peace with my body.
Peace with my desires.
Peace with where I am today.

Even tho life feels uncertain at times, I have peace knowing that I have my own back.

And that life is always working out for me.

For all of us.💓

The unknowns that used to scare me are now what excite me.

Embracing the unfolding of it all, day by day.

When I felt trapped with food, I also felt trapped with myself.

Chasing expectations that weren’t mine. Molding myself to be what I thought I “should” be.

Food was an outlet for a void.
Chasing the perfect body was an attempt to hide the void.

When you go to the root of who you really are & what your soul came here to do, you start to fill the void.

From the inside, out.

It was never about the body or the food.

It was about coming h o m e.

To me
& to God. 🌝

I hope every single person gets to experience this journey i n w a r d s.

Bc the best version of you, the vibrant, happy, radiant version is waiting for YOU!

To surrender & go inwards.
To heal & let go.
To remember who you really are.
And to choose h e r.

We all deserve this 🫶🏻

Which one did you have to learn the hard way:
1, 2, 3, or 4?!

I started dieting around the ripe age of 14.

… or should I say, I tried to imitate celebrity diets that I read about in a magazine. 🫠

What I would GIVE to talk to (& hug 😂) that naive little freshman girl!

Learning the truth about dieting was the best thing for my relationship with food and the reason I feel so free and balanced today.

When we know better, we do better. 💁‍♀️

Can anyone relate?!

Happy is _______ ?

There was a big part of my life spent at war with my body & food.
My self-worth linked to my body weight.
My mind littered w/thoughts, guilt & obsessions about my flaws & what (not) to eat.
Convinced that being happy would be a result of being s k i n n y.
And everything I wanted was on the other side of a smaller pant size.

For years I rode the rollercoaster of fad diets.
Forever “starting again on Monday.”
Diets that felt bad in my body & even worse in my mind.

Yet, even when I was ‘skinny’, I didn’t feel happy.
Bc I was hangry & tired.
I felt deprived & restricted. But I was addicted.

But then… everything started to change. 🦋

Because two things shifted:

1. I learned to LEAD w/love and became the leader of my own body & nutrition instead of being a diet follower.

2. I redefined “happy is skinny” as happy is HEALTHY.

Bc when I take care of my health: mentally, physically, emotionally, spiritually… the happier I am.

The reverse is true, too.
The happier I am, the healthier I feel.
They feed off of eachother.

And the healthier & happier I am…
the better my relationships are,
the better my work is,
the better my life is.

I never thought I’d feel totally free around food or in my body
…but I do!
And life keeps getting better because of it.

A nourished life.
Led by me.
One day at a time.

Happy. is. h e a l t h y.

So excited to share all the exciting things to come with Happy is Healthy, Co.

Sending you so much love. 🫶🏻

You are more than a body, right?

The answer is yes.

There is a separation between you - your spirit, gifts, soul… & the physical body that you live in.

Altho our body is OURS, it’s what we experience life through, & is often a reflection of our lifestyle + decisions - it does not define WHO we are.

Whether aware of it or not, we all have a relationship with our body. How we “relate” to it can be so easily overlooked yet is one of our biggest guides as we cultivate a healthy lifestyle that is made specifically for us.

What makes a great relationship?
Communication, support, listening, gratitude, acts of service, trust, honesty, admiration, acceptance, unconditional love…..

How have you shown up for your half of your relationship with your body?

When your body speaks, do you listen?

Do you know how your body communicates with you?

Ever observed a busy mom doing all she can to take care of her kids, her husband, herself… in-person + behind the scenes? Maybe you know one. Maybe you are one! Imagine after all that care, & the only thing she gets in return is judgement or criticism. We all know how that would make us feel.

Consider ALL the things our body does for us without us asking to keep us alive.
- blood pumping through your veins
- oxygen filtered in our lungs
- digestion of our food + nutrients
- our feet that carry us thru every adventure
- ours arms that create every single hug

We will be in these bodies for every second of our life on this Earth.

It is our choice to be at war with our body, or, to become it’s best friend. 💘

Mutual support & unconditional love. It’s a never-ending process but it is the most worth-while.

Swipe for a video I posted on this topic. 🥰

As we start to nurture a relationship w/our own body, everything else starts to change, too. How eat, how we think, how we feel, & …. how we show up in relationship with others.

Sending you & your body so much love! 💓💓💓
