Last month, a client shared the quote with me: “You’re not starting over, you’re starting from experience.”
And, it hit me exactly when I needed it.
It made me feel less hollow, embarrassed, and scared, plus a little more confident. Funny how I can learn just as much or more from my clients, even when they’re coming to learn from me.
Most importantly, it reminded me that I am ACTUALLY not starting over from scratch. I’m beginning a new chapter WITH legit, real experience.
Over the past year, I’ve started over multiple times, in multiple ways…
I went from a 4,000-square-foot house with a family to 1,300-square feet by myself. Other days, I’m incredibly thankful for the opportunity to rebuild my life and my business from the ground up… exactly how I want them this time, with all the experience I’ve gained about what I do want, what I don’t want, what works for me, and what definitely doesn’t.
If you’ve ever had to rebuild your life (or even just one piece of it), I feel you. My heart goes out to you.

We’re not the same people we were the first time around.
So, here are three things I’ve been reminding myself when it feels like I’m starting over:
