Got to see sister today and I was able to leave the hospital at 4:30pm. Praying now that transplant evaluation will still happen this month.

Nolan update:
Prayers for Nolan as he was supposed to have his Kidney transplant evaluation the whole week of July 7-11 and is now having a fever with vomitting and is being taken to the emergency room which could possibly put his evaluation further out. Please keep him in your prayers tonight 🙏

Nolan had surgery this afternoon at 2:30pm for yet another hemo cath, not even 27 days and he’s back in the OR. He’s had a total of 3 hemo caths just this year. It stopped working this time yet again. His jugular vein is narrowing close to the heat and the vein keeps on deflating the balloon inserted. Dr. Decided to have him stay the night tonight to monitor him and have him do dialysis tomorrow morning and see if he can go home depending on if his hemo catheter works.

Nolan is officially out of his cast and ready to start therapy today. He is very sore and doesn’t really want to cooperate, but it’s expected. A leg brace is getting made for him and will be ready in three weeks.

On Friday he will have surgery on his catheter. His body is rejecting it and has been pushing it out. We are leaving it in Gods hands for now and seeing what path he paves for him.

So sorry for the late update. Nolan did really well at dialysis. His port did function properly and his labs came back good. He did wake up in pain a couple of times but we immediately pushed the button so he could get relief. Yesterday they took him off of opioids completely and only have him on Tylenol and tramidol. Through the night, Juan said he asked for meds but not in excruciating pain that he needed opioids again.

Nolan went into surgery at 10:30am and is now out of surgery and we are in the recovery unit. Hoping to go to dialysis before 2pm. His hemodialysis catheter replacement went well and he is still under anesthesia. I asked the nurse here in recovery not to wake him up, because he usually wakes up from anesthesia very upset. We are now praying that his hemodialysis catheter works and is able to filtrate his blood. Will update as soon as we get done with dialysis later.

08/28/2024

Nolan is out safely, he got his foot and hip surgery. No major complications. He got out at 3:16pm. He was very upset and in pain, but fentanyl and precedex was given and he calmed down within a few minutes. He’s had such a long day. All glory to God almighty!

Now just pain meds and recovery. He will be having his hemo catheter replaced tomorrow morning. Anesthesia back to back. Praying that there are no complications tomorrow either 🙏
