Stress isn’t always the enemy. 🧠 In short bursts, your brain’s stress response can help you react, focus, and protect yourself. But when stress becomes chronic, staying in that constant state of high alert can take a toll on sleep, mood, concentration, memory, and decision-making.

The good news? Simple things can help give your brain a chance to recover: move your body, protect your sleep, slow your breathing, stay connected, and make time for whatever helps you truly unplug.

You may not be able to eliminate stress—but you can help your brain recover from it. šŸ’™

Your brain matters. So let’s protect it together.

A bump to the head may seem minor—but a subdural hematoma can develop slowly, with symptoms appearing hours or even days later.

Older adults, people taking blood thinners, and those with chronic alcohol use are at greater risk. Watch for new or worsening headache, confusion, sleepiness, difficulty walking, weakness, or changes in speech after a fall or head injury.

🧠 New neurological symptoms after a head injury? Seek medical attention right away.

Traumatic brain injuries often happen as part of polytrauma, where patients are fighting more than one life-threatening injury. While one part of the trauma team is protecting the brain, another may be working just as urgently to stop severe bleeding.
🩸 That’s why blood donors are an essential part of the trauma team.
Blood can’t be manufactured, and one trauma patient may need dozens of units to survive. If you’re healthy and eligible, please consider donating. You may never know whose life you help save—but your donation could make all the difference.
