One of the biggest mistakes I see online is treating GLP-1 medications like they're either a miracle cure or a complete disaster.

The reality is much less dramatic.

As a dietitian and diabetes specialist, I've seen these medications help people improve blood sugar, lose weight, and feel better in their bodies.

I've also seen people struggle because nobody taught them how to eat enough protein, preserve muscle mass, or build sustainable habits while taking them.
Both things can be true.

Medication can be incredibly helpful.
Nutrition still matters.

Apparently seed oils are poison, fruit is “too high in sugar,” and butter in coffee is now a personality trait. Meanwhile, actual evidence-based nutrition is somewhere fighting for its life.

If the earlier parts made you question the nutrition advice flooding your feed… this one’s for the people exhausted by fear-based wellness takes that make eating feel more stressful than supportive.

As a dietitian, here’s what I’m still not doing:
❌ Calling every food “inflammatory”
❌ Pretending carbs after 7pm are metabolically illegal
❌ Diagnosing everyone with cortisol issues, leaky gut, or “metabolism damage”
❌ Treating supplements like personality traits

And here’s what I am doing instead:
✔️ Looking at long-term health outcomes — not viral soundbites
✔️ Using evidence, nuance, and actual physiology
✔️ Helping clients build habits they can realistically sustain without fear
