I’ve discovered in the past few years that grounding is the ultimate tool when feeling dysregulated or symptomatic. We are so much more in control of our body than we realize! Use these helpful tools when you are feeling out of body or overwhelmed. Your body is always processing and it’s important we give it the space to do so.

✨A 20 minute walk outside lowers cortisol
✨Grounding in the grass, barefoot for 5 mins
✨Sound bath, Frequency music, and 4x4x6 breathing (4 secs in nose, 4 secs hold, 6 secs out the mouth)
✨Acupuncture helps the body process what it’s feeling safely
✨Grounding teas
✨Your favorite music, movies, or tv shows can be therapy
✨Safe conversation with safe relationships (only the people you can you can be 100% yourself with)
✨Balanced, grounding meals with no distractions (rest and digest)
✨Hugging an animal or loved one calms the nervous system

“The magic happens when you trust your instincts and do something that scares you a little. This is where you stop playing small and become who you always knew you could be.” This has been my mantra so far this year as I throw myself into new opportunities and situations that have felt bigger than what I’ve faced in the past. I always knew there would be this moment in my life where I would need to step into the spotlight in order to grow and reach people in the ways that I wanted to. I’ve never been comfortable being in the spotlight and always felt safer in the background. I have been preparing for this, but you never fully know how it’s going to feel until you’re there…and it’s SCARY!

The wellness world is one full of opinions, emotions, and beliefs and I’ve realized not everyone is open minded in the same ways that I am. I believe a healthy body can be many different sizes, I believe in trusting our body’s intuition over clinical data sometimes, I believe in nourishment rather than restriction, and that we innately have everything we need in order to heal if we learn how to listen. I’ve observed a lot of disfunction in the healing space throughout my chronic illness journey and it’s time to bring that to light. Sharing my truth, experience, and beliefs can feel scary but I know it’s what I need to do in order to make a difference. I hope the people who get it, will find me. It’s time to empower each other and help instill the belief that we have more control over our bodies than we know.

This feels like the start of a new era in my life where I won’t let fear hold me back from being who I know I am. I am grateful for the lessons that have lead me here and for the ability to help support others on their path to truth and healing. I know I’m not alone and I will never stop fighting for a better path for those seeking answers.

I’ve been gluten and dairy free for almost a decade and I have found that Dallas has some of the best variety when it comes to accessibility around food. These are my favorite restaurants around town to get anti-inflammatory options! Most of these are also seed oil free, grass-fed, and some are even organic! Not all of these are celiac friendly, but most are accommodating and understanding to your requests!

✨HG Sply Co
✨Bella Green
✨Ascenion Coffee
✨Two Hands
✨James Provisions
✨Tribal All Day Cafe
✨Company Cafe
✨Asian Mint
✨Cibo Divino
✨Whiskey Cake
✨Honorable mentions: Flower Child, True Food Kitchen, Sweet Green, Original Chop Shop, Modern Market, Hat Creek, and Cava!

Which one is your fave? And are there any you’ve never tried? Fill me in if I missed your faves!

My first solo speaking event in Atlanta last week was a massive milestone in my career and life. I’m so grateful for giving me this opportunity to stand in the spotlight and help spread the word about healthy living. I hope to have many more of these kinds of opportunities in the future to reach groups of people who might not have been able to hear this information otherwise. Education on healthy diet and lifestyle should be accessible to all, and I want to make sure everyone who needs guidance is able to receive it.

I’m so grateful to get to work alongside a provider like who is absolutely the provider I would recommend to anyone navigating chronic illness and mold toxicity. She is a detective who will not rest until she helps you feel better. I look forward to future events where we get to work together to help others feel their best!

The #1 advice I give clients when they start a GLP-1 peptide for weight loss is to keep track of muscle mass with an at-home scale like the Hume Body Pod! Use code EVERYBODY20 for 20% off if you’re ready to start your journey to better metabolic health! I compare this scale to an InBody or Dexa Scan, but in the comfort of your own home. These peptides can be very beneficial, but it’s important to maintain muscle by eating enough protein and lifting weights! The Hume Body Pod helps you keep track of progress, the right way.

Such a bummer when one of your favorite products partners with a celebrity and quality no longer matters. A little bit of sucralose in your products can add up and I will no longer be recommending this product. Hopefully they’ll bring back their stevia or monkfruit sweetened version in the future!! 🤞🏻

The words we speak hold power over our body. When we say things like, “I feel disgusting,” or “I have been such a slob,” the body is always listening. We are SO hard on ourselves this time of year feeling like we are supposed to be living this perfect lifestyle, when this is normally a time to rest and recover ahead of the warmer months.

Listen to what your body is saying and trust it! If you feel tired, don’t push yourself to wake up earlier to work out. If you feel hungry, make sure to eat more nourishing food instead of restrict. It’s important to find balance and take on what you have space for. Movement can be stress reducing if you take it slow. 20 minutes of walking actually helps the body heal rather than depletes you!

Sleep, hydrate, spend time with community, rest, and take breaks from social media when you feel overwhelmed. Eat comforting foods that actually help regulate the body like soups, and enjoy some dark chocolate when you want a sweet treat!

The more we change our mindset, the less energetic weight we take on. Healing is possible when you learn to have gratitude for the vessel that holds us. 🙏🏻
