I never expected one of the hardest seasons of my life to become the resource I now share with thousands of people.

When I was in the newborn trenches, I wasn’t looking for another long list of self-care ideas. I needed someone (or something) to tell me what to do next when my brain felt completely overwhelmed.

That’s why I created my Feel Better Flowchart.

It’s simple, takes less than a minute to use, and it’s the tool I wish I’d had when I needed it most.

💙 It’s completely FREE through the link in my bio or comment FLOWCHART and I will DM it to you!

If you’ve ever felt anxious, overstimulated, emotionally drained, or just frozen, I hope it helps you too.

Tell me below: what’s the first thing that happens when you start feeling overwhelmed?

Not everyone has the ability to take a day off, clear their schedule, or disappear for a weekend when they’re exhausted.

Sometimes rest has to fit into the life you’re actually living.

If you’ve been running on empty, remember that rest doesn’t have to be all-or-nothing. Small moments of recovery still matter. Your mind and body deserve care, even when life won’t slow down.

Save this for the days when you need a little extra support. 🫶🏻

And if you need something more for real moments of overwhelm, anxiety, struggle…

I made the Feel Better Flowchart for YOU.

Initially I made it for me to help me figure out which coping skill or mental health tool could be most effective in the moment. Then I made it for my students to help them walk through their feelings starting with their how their body is feeling.

We can’t always place the emotion or the reason, but we can normally stop for a second and decipher what our body is feeling.

All of these answer the first part of the flowchart and then lead to actual QUICk strategies to help you feel better. Because we don’t always have time to take a long, luxurious bubble bath when we need to cope.

Most of us are doing the best we can with the words we were given growing up.

The phrases in this post aren’t “bad” and the alternatives aren’t about being a perfect parent, educator, or helping professional. They’re simply small shifts that can help children feel seen, understood, and supported while they’re learning to navigate big emotions.

The good news? We don’t have to get it right every time to make a difference.

Did you hear any of these growing up? 👀 Tell me in the comments.

Save this post for later and share it with someone who works with kids. 🤟🏻

I’m resharing this one because summer self-care deserves a reminder. ☀️

Whether you’re an educator adjusting to a different routine, a parent with kids home all day, a mom trying to keep little ones entertained, or someone whose schedule feels completely different this season, summer can be both wonderful and exhausting.

You don’t need a spa day or a week-long vacation to take care of yourself. Sometimes the smallest acts of self-care are the ones that help us show up more fully for the people and things we love.

Here are 5 tiny summer self-care ideas to help you refill your cup this season. 🩵🌊🏖️

Sometimes the thoughts keeping us up at night just need somewhere to land. 🖊️

Journaling isn’t about having perfect handwriting, profound insights, or filling pages every day. It’s about giving your mind a safe place to process, reflect, and grow. A few minutes with a journal can help you notice patterns, reduce stress, and reconnect with yourself in ways you might not expect.

What’s one thing you’d write down today if no one else would ever read it?
