BRAND NEW MED -Medicine to help you stay well
Hello! Im Dr. Natalia Southerland.
Board Certified Family Physician since 1998. Undergraduate training at Georgetown University. Medical School at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Family Medicine trained and Chief Resident at the University of Maryland Family and Community Medicine Program 20 years in practicing the medicine I love.
BRAND NEW MED is a Direct Primary Care Family Medicine practice born out of my need and desire to really make a difference in patients lives. Typical primary care leaves little time for health education. Larger and larger patient panels and dealing with insurance companies can prohibit providing the care and health coaching needed for people to make changes in their lives. Obesity and diabetes rates continue to climb.
BRAND NEW MED was also born out of a passion to help myself and other people who are in that constant struggle with their weight and themselves with no one to really listen. I want to see people happy , healthy, active , enjoying their lives and avoiding chronic disease , and ironically , the doctor .
