🛸WHY DOES MY TATTOO LOOK MUDDY??🛸

We have all seen those tattoos that just are impossible to make out what it is. Is it a panther? A zebra? The president? Your guess is as good as ours. But how do you keep your tattoo from turning out the same way?

1. Contrast. This is the biggest factor for long term legiblity. Having the right darks and lights, warm and cool colors, bold and fine line items all together make a tattoo easier to read, and stay that way over the years.

2. Amount of Detail. Just because a tattoo is bigger doesn't mean you can cram it full of little details. The more lines and dark areas you add into any tattoo, the harder it will be to read down the road. Sometimes less is more!

3. Composition. Putting the elements of your design together properly will help make the whole design make more sense. Trust your artist when they make suggestions. We want to see you leave with the best results.

Outside of the shop, Alex is a family man who spends most of his free time with his wife, Hannah, and their daughter, Natalie.

Larry has been tattooing for 23 years and has owned and operated Broken Arrow for the last 10 years. Over the years, he’s built the shop from the ground up while continuing to do what he loves—creating tattoos and taking care of the people who walk through our doors.

When he’s not behind the tattoo machine or keeping the shop running, Larry trades ink for adrenaline and plays paintball professionally. 🔫

With more than two decades in the industry, there’s a good chance a few of you have some of his work!
