Due to the Stokes County Courthouse being out of power, with no eta of restoration until this afternoon. All courts are cancelled, The Clerks Office & DA's Office will be closed on Tuesday, June 2, 2026.

🌸 Walnut Cove SpringFest is this SATURDAY!

The Cove Group is excited to bring another SpringFest to Downtown Walnut Cove on Saturday, May 16th from 10 AM–2 PM!

Please note:
🚧 Roads will be closed beginning at 8 AM until approximately 3 PM from the fire department to the stoplight at 1889 Taphouse on Main Street, along with several side streets.

Traffic will be detoured around Windmill Street and Summit Street. These are residential neighborhoods, so please slow down and watch for increased pedestrian traffic in these areas.

We also kindly ask everyone to:
• Please avoid using local business parking lots unless visiting those businesses
• Be respectful when parking on side streets and around neighborhood homes (do not park in their yards)
• Watch carefully for pedestrians throughout town

Come spend the day supporting all those businesses on the way to the festival, our local retailers, downtown businesses, food vendors, craft vendors, and the entire Walnut Cove community!

Stokes County Sewer and Water Authority continues to be experiencing difficulties with completing water systems repairs this evening.

Facilities between and including the Arts Block in Danbury and the Main Goverment Center campus will operate on a TWO hour delay tomorrow for non-essential personnel.

Offices will OPEN at 10:30am on Wednesday.
