Good morning. We received great news today. The United States Supreme Court ruled in favor (5-4) of our Tribe and the Northern Arapaho Tribe on cases we filed in the Supreme Court.

What the decision means is that our Tribes and other Tribes across the United States are now entitled to receive contract support costs for third party revenues (Medicare, Medicaid & private insurance) in operating our Health Department and Hospital & Clinic under the Indian Self Determination Act. Previously, the Indian Health Services (IHS) would reimburse our Tribe contract support costs for only I.H.S. funds and not third party funds. These additional revenues will help us expand health care services for our people. Our case took about five years to get to the Supreme Court.

Our Tribe beat the United States of America on this issue in the United States Supreme Court. God bless the San Carlos Apache Tribe.

Missing From Fire Trail Road has been included as an Official Selection of the 2024 Tribeca Festival.

"Missing From Fire Trail Road” sheds light on the case of Mary Ellen Johnson-Davis, a Native-American woman who disappeared in 2020, and exposes how hundreds of Indigenous women continue to go missing in the US, perpetuating trans-generational trauma on Indian reservations.

Producer Sabrina Van Tassel joined forces with Deborah Parker, an outspoken activist and former vice chairwoman of the Tulalip Tribe who serves as executive producer on “Missing From Trail Road.” The docu was produced in association with FilmRise and Canal+ Docs.
