In observance of Juneteenth, Lincoln County Public Health will be closed on June 19th. This day marks an important moment in U.S. history: the end of slavery and the progress made toward freedom and equality.

We encourage everyone to take a moment to reflect on our shared history and the values that bring our community together.

Alzheimer's disease affects millions of individuals and families across the country. Raising awareness helps reduce stigma, encourages early detection, and connects people to valuable support and resources.

Warning signs can include memory loss that disrupts daily life, difficulty completing familiar tasks, confusion with time or place, and changes in mood or behavior.

If you or a loved one is experiencing symptoms, talk with a healthcare provider. Early diagnosis can help individuals access treatment, plan for the future, and improve quality of life.

This Alzheimer's Awareness Month take time to learn the signs, support caregivers, and help build a more dementia-friendly community.

An important message from our partners at Lincoln Hospital and Clinics.

Changes in memory, thinking, communication, mood, or balance can sometimes be a normal part of aging, but they can also be signs that something more is going on.

Recognizing changes early and having conversations with a healthcare provider may help individuals and families better understand what they're experiencing and connect with available support and resources.

This Alzheimer's & Brain Awareness Month, we're encouraging open conversations about brain health and reminding our community that concerns about memory or cognitive changes should never be ignored.

We join our partners at Frontier Behavioral Health in recognizing World Anxiety Awareness Day. We're grateful for the important work they do in communities like ours, and we're happy to have them join us tomorrow, June 11th, at our annual heath fair. Visit us at HealthyLinCoWa.com to learn more about this free community event.

Anxiety is one of the most common mental health challenges, yet many people struggle in silence. Anxiety can look different for everyone- racing thoughts, difficulty sleeping, feeling overwhelmed, irritability, physical symptoms that feel scary, or constant worry.

If anxiety is affecting your daily life, know that you are not alone and support is available! Taking care of your mental health is just as important as taking care of your physical health.
✨ Small steps can make a difference:
• Practice deep breathing
• Get moving, even for a few minutes
• Connect with someone you trust
• Take breaks from stress and social media
• Reach out for professional support when needed

At Frontier Behavioral Health, we’re committed to helping our community find hope, healing, and support! 💙🧡
