Empowering Abilities At Empowering Abilities, we support people with disabilities at home, at work and the community. Empowering Abilities helps people achieve those goals.

People with disabilities have the same fundamental rights and needs as everyone else. They want to be loved, to feel worthy, and to be part of their community. By being consumers, employees, taxpayers, and neighbors, Empowering Abilities participants achieve a sense of belonging. From the work they do, they experience pride and satisfaction for doing a job well and being rewarded by a paycheck. By

living in the community, they learn what it's like to pay bills and how to be a responsible citizen and a good neighbor.

Looking for more than just a job? Become a Residential Mentor (DSP) at Empowering Abilities and help adults with disabilities live independently, build life skills, and thrive in their homes and communities.

As a Residential Mentor, you'll:
🏡 Support individuals in their homes
🚗 Help with transportation and community outings
🍽 Assist with meals and household routines
💊 Monitor medications and documentation
🎉 Encourage recreation, independence, and personal growth

Participants from Empowering Abilities’ Daily Discovery groups have had an absolute blast exploring Clinton’s larger-than-life Thomas Dambo troll sculptures! Built from reclaimed wood and recycled materials, these whimsical giants brought plenty of wonder, laughter, and photo-worthy fun.

What a beautiful afternoon of sunshine, smiles, creativity, and connection! ☀️ Our participants had an absolute blast alongside the Keller Williams team—painting canvases, making bracelets, playing outdoor games, enjoying a walk on the path, shooting hoops, and even sipping mocktails together in the sunshine. 🎨🏀🍹
