Brittany - It’s hard to put into words how much you’ve meant to the studio and to all of us here. You’ve been so much more than a talented artist. You’ve been a genuine light in the shop. Your creativity, your kindness, and the way you treat every person who walks through the door have made Envious Ink a better place. Clients felt it, the team felt it, and I felt it every day you were here.
Watching you grow as an artist and as a person has been one of the real privileges of running this place. You brought heart into your work and into the people around you, and that doesn’t go unnoticed. While we’re sad to see you leave soon, I’m also proud of you for chasing something new. It takes courage to step away from what you know and bet on yourself, and I have no doubt you’re going to bring the same dedication and warmth to your new career!
While you’ll be around a bit longer working for us, you’ll be missed—your art, your laugh, your presence. Please know that you’re always welcome back, whether it’s to stop in, catch up, or even pick up a machine again someday. In the meantime, go do amazing things. I can’t wait to hear about them!

Since I was 14 years old all I wanted to do was tattoo. When I turned 18, my grandpa gave me my first tattoo machine and I tattooed my grandma in her kitchen. Haha I spent 5 years trying to teach myself to tattoo, and after 5 years I got an apprenticeship at The Rubber Monkey Tattoo. For ten years I dedicated my whole life to the craft. I was at the shop 9-12 hours a day, 5-6 days a week. It was my life. I met my husband in that shop. I grew as a person and an artist. In 2023 I had the pleasure of moving to Envious Ink Tattoo Studio to work with some of the most amazing people and talented artist I have ever met. I feel like I grew more in that time than I did at any other point in my life. Being surrounded by such talent and love for the industry, I couldn’t help but grow.
I am sure by now you all can probably see where this is going. Over the last year I have started to lose the spark I once had for this field. The love was fading. I have been struggling even to draw. I lost inspiration. I tried to get it back, I thought it was just the economy, everyone is struggling. But things just aren’t the same anymore. Despite all that, it would take a very special, and specific set of circumstances to get me to leave the shop I love, working with the people I love, doing what I’ve always dreamed of doing…
And that is exactly what happened. In just over a week something completely unexpected has fallen into place and I am being lead in a brand new direction. I have accepted a job where I will be able to make a real impact in the lives of others. I needed something that would be equally as fulfilling and impactful as tattooing was for me and I believe that I have found that.
I still have some projects open that I will be completing over the next couple of months. And Matt is graciously allowing me to keep my station at the shop until I have completed those projects. I won’t be taking any new clients, but I would be willing to do any single sitting designs any of my existing clients would like to get done before I officially retire my machine.
