Tranquility — the foundation of spiritual growth. An active state of inner peace. This is the topic I ended this week’s classes with, inspired by my visit to So Hum Healing Resort this past Thursday.
The practice of yoga guides the body, mind, and breath toward equanimity, balance, and harmony — all leading to deep tranquility. Yoga combined with Ayurveda complements and completes the path to wellbeing and the connection to your inner self, your intuition. So Hum means just that: “I am that, that is me.”
As soon as I arrived at So Hum Healing Resort, I felt PEACE. I was greeted by a kind soul, Becca, who made me feel as though I had arrived HOME. My experience began with a welcoming ceremony honoring the five elements, creating a deeper connection to ALL.
Afterwards, my treatments began — abhyanga, shirodhara, and a spleen basti. The practitioners, Romana and Reina, were nurturing and kind. The treatments were healing and calming, leaving my mind and body relaxed and at peace.
Next came a soak in a handmade cedar tub, heated by cedar wood and free from chemicals, overlooking the breathtaking gardens and mountains. Tranquility at its best.
To complete the experience, Chef Ami presented me with a beautiful and delicious four-course Ayurvedic meal. He described each dish with such care that I could feel the love and pride poured into every creation. Also in the kitchen were Anthony and Alex, both friendly and happy to share their joy of being part of So Hum.
Thank you all for making my day so nurturing. I hope these words on tranquility inspire you to find ways to welcome more peace into your life, because you deserve it.
Breathe in “So”
Exhale “Hum”
“I am that, that is me” — your connection between you and you.

I hope this post finds you enjoying a wonderful weekend.
Let’s take a moment to set ourselves up for a great week ahead.
One of my teachers says:
“Abundance flows to you in spite of how hard you work, not because of it.” -AH
Through my personal practice, I’ve found this to be true.
So how do we begin to refocus the mind toward more abundance, fun, and health?
Try creating a personal affirmation and practicing it for the next 21 days. Here are a few of my favorites to help move in the direction of all the things you deserve:
Inspired by Louise Hay—
“I give myself permission to shine brightly.”
“I let go of outdated modes of being.”
“I am full to the brim with vital energy. I am playful, joyful, and content.”
“With each breath, I refresh.”
And lastly, one of my favorites:
“I am adequate for any situation.”
Here’s to an amazing week ahead.

How often do you make a decision and minutes—even days—later you’re still ruminating, wishing you’d made a different choice or asking “what if,” “should I,” etc.? Leaving you feeling confused, worried, and frustrated.
This is the topic I’m speaking on in classes this week—providing tools to help you close that loop, accept your decision, and tune into the flow of life again.
Join me in class M–F at Y6, or book your very own private session. DM for availability.
It’s my belief that every person has the power to create a life of calm, peace, joy, and love. Progress is in the practice. The power is within you.

I’m so grateful to be part of a growing yoga community. A big thank you to all of my students for showing up for yourselves on your mats and for sharing your experiences and love with me. Teaching—or rather, sharing—yoga wisdom is a deeply humbling experience, and one I never take for granted.
To be open, vulnerable, and connected to so many people is hard to put into words, but if I had to describe it, it feels like a warm, loving hug. It is my intention to mirror this feeling back to my students every time we practice together. When we end our session and say “namaste,” we honor—with truth and authenticity—the light and love within each of us.

Un-broken and the power to reinvent. For everyone, every body, every time, at any age.
During my evening walk, this is the message I was contemplating—and the message I’ll thread through this week in class.
One nugget of wisdom in yoga is learning to practice non-attachment. To the body, thoughts, people, places—all things. I’m suggesting you add one more layer: release the labels you place on yourself, along with the “what if” and “if only,” and allow yourself to be this way and that way, so you remain open to the next new version of YOU.
Whether you want to learn to paint, garden, get off the couch, start a business, or you’re facing changes like becoming an empty nester, divorce, or health challenges—no matter the situation, change will occur. Being resistant will add challenges, and beginning to allow will bring ease and flow.
