Thank you to everyone who supported The Focus Foundation’s 15th annual Oktoberfest event in Philadelphia this week!

Research helps families and clinicians better understand what children with rare genetic conditions need.

The Focus Foundation team has contributed to new research on testosterone and brain development, the early childhood presentation of 48,XXYY, and other complex and rare genetic conditions.

We’re also writing a chapter on the language learning abilities of boys with 47,XXY, 48,###Y, and 49,###XY for the Oxford University Press Handbook on Language in Rare Conditions, expected to be published in 2027.

Each contribution adds to the knowledge families and care teams can use to support children as they grow so they can reach their full potential!Research helps families and clinicians better understand what children with rare genetic conditions need.
