EMBRACING PARADOX

Life is unfolding
One day after another
Felt as if its random
But within a template of
Planned vision.

Begs the question
Is there really a free will?
Human is living its life
Awareness within
Just watching.

Yes to the human
There is free will.
No the awareness
Nonsense.

The question becomes
Who do I identify with?
Ego self or the awareness within?
“How about both?”
Says the voice
“Embracing both in peace”.

FINDING MY WAY
I lost direction!
I always went after
Excitement.
Thinking my heart
would know.
Excitement is
Supposed to be
The sign of
A right path.

Then, when I took
The path
Suddenly
Excitement subsided
As if wanting me
To find my way
Without it.

Doubt rose.
As the test of
Commitment.
Asking me” do you really want it?”
I am confused.

I don’t know
How to get out of
This place.
To bring myself
To clarity.

I suppose
The only way
To know
Is to keep going.
Then I find myself
Pushing, forcing.
Without the excitement
It becomes hard.
“Is it supposed to be hard?”
Whispers my mind.
Just too many confusions.

Finally,
I stop the chatter and
Relax.
I choose just doing
Without attachment
To the outcome.
Just do for the sake of
Doing.
Find joy in the process and
Let the rest go.

Then the joy
Becomes the sign itself.
My heart says
“Now you found your way
If there is joy
You are on the right path.
Keep going”.

Some days
I have to
Scrape myself
Off of my bed.

It feels pointless
To even get up
“For what? It’s all same”
Says my mind.

Hard to find
A reason
Good enough
To awake.

As if I lost
The connection to
The Creator-
The creative force
Of all universe
Full of beauty
And opportunities.

Then, I remember
The joy
Deep within
Asleep.
Not wanting to be
Bothered.

I just shout out
“Wake up!”
I need you
I need your help
I can’t give up.

I say
“I have to keep you alive
Even if it’s just
To smell
The freshly baked bread again.”

We hold hands
And go by our day
That we have a choice
To play.

Why do we picture
A male character
When we refer to
GOD?

While most of the time
We are abused my man
We are destroyed,
Dragged to war,
Beat to death,
R***d and
Killed by man.
And still worship man???

Is this all by design?

My GOD
Is nurturing,
Caring,
Loving,
Protecting,
Creating,
Growing,
Like a mother.

I believe in a motherly GOD!

Who does not
discriminate among her children
Takes care of all,
Always puts others first.

My GOD
Would not create
Weapons to kill children
Favor certain colors
Let others die
No, no, no
My GOD is
Like a mother
Embraces whole humanity.

Let’s stop this hypocrisy
Stop worshiping these
Destructive male figures
Let’s change our language
Our image of GOD
Let’s come to our senses
And
Wake up!

INTEGRATED
There is a child
Within me
Who wants to be
Celebrated
Just for being alive.

The child, the adult
And the awareness
Are in a dialogue
All at the same time.

Who am I?
I am confused.
All of them?
Or who I choose to be
At the moment?

I can feel
Clear difference
Between them
Through my emotions.

When the child speaks
I feel
The raw innocence
Just wanting to be seen.

When adult speaks,
She is speaking
From the head
She brings logic
And justification.

When awareness takes over
Its presence
Comes from the soul beyond
Pure, neutral
Just watching
With patience
With calm
In silence.

All speak
A different language
Expressing different
Parts of me
As if
Wanting to be accepted
Heard
And integrated
To be whole
Again.

SUCCESS VS IMPACT

I don’t care
About success.
I care about
Impact.

Success
Is self-centered.
Impact
Is others-centered.

Success
Seeks validation.
Impact
Seeks the betterment
Of all humanity.

How do I know?

I lived for success
Most of my life.
Back then, my life
Meant something
Only if I was
Successful.

How did I learn this?

When I was praised
For a good grade,
And unseen
Otherwise.

As a child,
I learned
That if I wanted love,
If I wanted my existence
To be acknowledged,
I had to perform well.

So I carried
This quiet illusion
For years.

Until one day,
I stopped caring
About what others
Thought of me,
And began to care
About how I see myself.

Now I know:
I live for impact.

I have earned
My share of success,
Yet it never
Made me feel complete.

But making an impact,
Caring for others,
Helping them feel seen,
Holding space for their wounds
That
Makes me feel whole.
