As I prepare to lead my Guatemala Retreat this April, I’m doing something that I believe every therapist, teacher, and guide should do…

I’m taking time to fill my own cup first. 🤍

In just under two weeks, I’ll be traveling to the UK for a retreat of my own; stepping away from the busyness of everyday life to become the student again. To slow down. To receive. To reconnect.

One of my deepest beliefs is that we can only guide others as deeply as we’re willing to go ourselves.

Every retreat I attend shapes the way I show up for my clients, my yoga students, and for every woman who says yes to these transformational experiences.

When I welcome you to Guatemala, I don’t want to simply offer you a beautiful destination.

I want to offer you my fullest presence, an open heart, and a space where healing feels safe, supported, and deeply intentional.

✨ What healing means to me now✨

For a long time, I believed healing meant fixing something.

Learning more. Doing more. Becoming more.

But over the years, I’ve discovered something much gentler.

Healing isn’t about becoming someone new.

It’s about remembering who you were before life became so busy, so demanding, and so loud.

It’s creating space to breathe.
To listen.
To reconnect.
To simply be.

That’s exactly why I created this Guatemala retreat.

Not as an escape from life, but as an opportunity to return to yourself.

After months of visioning and creating, I’m so excited to share the next chapter of my journey with you.

What began as Om Joyful Yoga has now evolved into Lydia Lizano: Talk, S*x, & Yoga Therapy.

For over 25 years, my work has been guided by one truth real healing happens when the mind and body unite, and when we embrace our s*xual health as an essential part of becoming whole.
Years ago, I found myself in one of the most challenging seasons of my life, filled with anxiety, confusion, and disconnection. It was through yoga, meditation, and deep inner work that I discovered a profound truth: healing isn’t about choosing between the mind and the body, it’s about nurturing both, together.

That realization transformed not only my life, but also the way I help others today. Through talk therapy, s*x therapy, and yoga therapy, I guide people toward reconnecting with their inner wisdom, releasing what no longer serves them, and rediscovering the power of presence, pleasure, and peace.
My new website is a reflection of that mission, a space for holistic healing and integrated transformation.
