Do you ever feel like there aren't enough hours in the day?

Between work, family, responsibilities, church callings, and everything else on our calendars, it can be hard to find time for both physical and spiritual growth.

What if you didn't have to choose?

While exercising, listen to a Come, Follow Me podcast.

One thing I love about this Scripture Study Stack is that it allows me to strengthen both my body and my testimony at the same time.

Whether you're walking, running, lifting weights, riding a bike, or exercising at home, a podcast can turn workout time into an opportunity to learn more about Jesus Christ and His gospel.

Some of my favorite insights have come while moving my body and listening to someone teach the scriptures.

Remember, connection with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ doesn't always happen while sitting quietly in a chair.

Sometimes it happens while we're walking, moving, working, and living our everyday lives.

This simple Scripture Study Stack includes Individual, Hands-on, Book, STEM, Music, and Nature learning. Check out the slides to see specific ways each learning style can use this idea.

Do you ever wish you had more time to think?

For many people, mowing the lawn is one of the few times all day without constant interruptions, notifications, or demands from other people.

While mowing the lawn, ponder a favorite verse or phrase from scripture.

One thing I love about this Scripture Study Stack is that it doesn't require reading anything new. It simply invites you to spend time with a scripture you already know.

Maybe it's a verse that brings you peace.
A phrase that reminds you of Jesus Christ.
A promise you've been thinking about lately.

Sometimes one scripture phrase can stay with us far longer than an entire chapter.

And when we give ourselves time to ponder, the Holy Ghost can teach us things we may have missed before.

This simple Scripture Study Stack includes Individual, Hands-on, Book, and Nature learning. Check out the slides to see specific ways each learning style can use this idea.

Fun fact: I've only mowed a small section of our backyard ONCE in 26 years! Scott loves his thinking time while mowing.

Do you mow the lawn at your house? What do you enjoy thinking about while you're out there?

Do you ever start your day with good intentions...
and then suddenly find yourself rushing from one thing to the next?

Me too.

That's one reason I love attaching prayer to something I already do every morning.

After I make my bed, I will say my morning prayers.

One thing I love about this Scripture Study Stack is that making my bed becomes a reminder to pause and invite Heavenly Father into my day before the busyness begins.

Prayer isn't just something we check off a list.

It's one way we build a relationship with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ.

Some prayers are long.
Some are short.

What matters most is that we are turning our hearts toward Them.

This simple Scripture Study Stack includes Individual, Hands-on, Book, and STEM learning. Check out the slides to see specific ways each learning style can use this idea.

Where do you say your best prayers?

Have you ever wanted to study something uplifting but didn't have the time or energy to dive into a whole lesson?

Sometimes we need something simple that can be read in just a few minutes.

While eating lunch, read an article from the Liahona, For the Strength of Youth, or Friend magazine.

One thing I love about the Church magazines is that they are filled with real stories, practical counsel, inspiring testimonies, and reminders of Jesus Christ.

A lunch break may not seem like much, but a few minutes spent reading something uplifting can change the direction of an entire afternoon.

Small moments matter.

And sometimes one article contains exactly the message we needed to hear that day.

This simple Scripture Study Stack includes Individual, Hands-on, Book, and Visual learning. Check out the slides to see specific ways each learning style can use this idea.

What do you love most about the Church magazines?

Have you ever climbed into bed and struggled to remember what happened during your day?

Sometimes life moves so quickly that we miss the small ways Heavenly Father is blessing us.

After brushing your teeth at night, write one way you saw Heavenly Father's hand in your day.

It doesn't have to be something big.

Maybe a scripture came to mind when you needed it.
Maybe someone sent an encouraging text.
Maybe you felt peace during a difficult moment.

One thing I love about this Scripture Study Stack is that it trains us to look for God in the details.

The more I look for His hand, the more I find it.

And often, the blessings I almost missed become some of the sweetest reminders that He knows me personally.

This simple Scripture Study Stack includes Individual, Hands-on, Book, and STEM learning. Check out the slides to see specific ways each learning style can use this idea.

How did you see God's hand in your life yesterday?

7 Scriptures to Seek Jesus in the Old Testament

Seek and find Jesus each day as you read the Old Testament this year.

7 scriptures weekly that testify of the life, mission, character, and atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ.

Read one passage each day to find and come to know Jesus in the Doctrine and Covenants (individually or with your family).

As you read each passage, ask yourself one of the following questions:

What do these verses teach me about the life and mission of Jesus Christ?
What do these verses teach me about Jesus Christ?
What do these verses teach me about the character of Jesus Christ?
What do these verses teach me about the atonement of Jesus Christ?
Why is this specific name of Christ used in these verses?
How can I liken these verses unto myself?

How are you finding Jesus in the Old Testament?

Save this post to read each passage throughout the week (and share with a friend).

Have you ever walked past something so often that you stopped noticing it?

I think we all do.

Sometimes a picture hanging on the wall can become part of the background of everyday life.

When you walk past a picture of the temple at home, think of all the covenants you have made.

One thing I love about this Scripture Study Stack is that it turns something familiar into a reminder of something sacred.

Every time you pass that picture, let it remind you of promises made, blessings received, and your relationship with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ.

Connection doesn't always require adding something new.

Sometimes it simply means noticing something that's already there.

This simple Scripture Study Stack includes Individual, Hands-on, Book, and Visual learning. Check out the slides to see the specific ways each learning style can use this idea.

What temple did you attend when you made covenants?
I first attended the Jordan River Temple, and Scott and I were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple.

"Which of Jesus' names should I take upon myself this week?"

BELOVED SON

Scripture: 2 Samuel 7:12–14 “And when thy days be fulfilled, and thou shalt sleep with thy fathers, I will set up thy seed after thee, which shall proceed out of thy bowels, and I will establish his kingdom. He shall build an house for my name, and I will stablish the throne of his kingdom for ever.I will be his father, and he shall be my son. If he commit iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men, and with the stripes of the children of men:”

Hymn or Song: : "This Is My Beloved Son" (Children’s Songbook, 76)

General Conference Quote: “The various roles he played and the various names by which he is known in the holy scriptures give a hint of the preeminent status of the Savior.. Some-times he is called the...Son of Man; the Anointed One, the Deliverer, or the Man of Sorrows; or the Only Begotten of the Father.” -Francis M. Gibbons, “The Savior and Joseph Smith-Alike Yet Unlike”, April 1991 General Conference.

Reflect:
How will this name of Jesus help me this week?
What can I learn about Christ's mission or attributes from this name?
How can I become more like Jesus Christ through this name?

"My earnest desire is that you will come to know Jesus by His many names and that you will become like Him as you exemplify His divine attributes in your life." -Jonathan S. Schmitt (October 2022 General Conference)

If there is a name of Christ you would love to have featured in the coming weeks, please leave a comment with the name and I will add it to my list.

Do you ever wish it was easier to remember your covenants throughout the day?

One simple way is to connect them to something you already do every morning.

While getting dressed, name all the covenants you have made with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ (at baptism, in the temple, etc.). Think about how you are living your covenants today.

One thing I love about this Scripture Study Stack is that getting dressed is already part of the day. It becomes a natural reminder of who you are and the promises you've made.

As you choose your clothes, you might also choose one covenant you want to focus on that day.
Not perfectly.
Just intentionally.

Small reminders can help us remember sacred promises even during busy seasons of life.

This simple Scripture Study Stack includes Individual, Hands-on, Book, STEM, and Visual learning. Check out the slides to see the specific ways each learning style can use this idea.

If you're a mom, you've probably spent a lot of time sitting at parks, ball games, swimming lessons, and backyards watching your kids play.

Sometimes those moments feel like waiting.

What if they became moments of connection instead?

While watching your kids play outside, read an uplifting book.

One thing I love about this Scripture Study Stack is that it doesn't require finding extra time. It simply uses time that's already there.

A few pages while sitting on a lawn chair.
A chapter while waiting at the park.
A few minutes while the kids play.
Small moments add up.

And sometimes a simple thought from a good book stays with us long after we've closed the cover.

This simple Scripture Study Stack includes Social, Individual, Book, and Nature learning. Check out the slides to see the specific ways each learning style can use this idea.

What book have you read more than once because it impacted you so much?
