Looking back at these smiles from last year’s Columbus Survivor Celebration has our hearts so full! 💖 There is truly nothing like the energy, love, and pure joy that fills the room when our community gets together.

And guess what? It’s almost time to do it all over again! This year, we are throwing it back to the 50s with a GREASE-themed celebration on Thursday, June 18th. 🕺

To anyone thinking about attending for the very first time this year: We know taking that first leap can feel incredibly intimidating. Walking into a new space can bring up a lot of nerves—and that is completely okay! But we promise you, the moment you walk through those doors, you will be met with open arms, zero judgment, and a room full of people who truly get it. It is a step that can change everything.

“58% of PRG clients in Columbus fall below the poverty line. Can you imagine battling cancer and not knowing how you are going to feed your kids?” - Heather Salazar, CEO/President

This is the heartbreaking reality for so many families right here in our community. In 2025 alone, the Columbus region stepped up to help us deliver 45,181 healthy meals and 6,242 rides to treatment—a 16% increase in people served over the previous year. 🚙🍲

From free meals delivered directly to the doorstep to rides to treatment and cleaning essentials, Pink Ribbon Good provides wrap-around services free of charge so that no one has to go through their diagnosis alone.

Supporting from afar? Your care still counts.

When you can’t be there in person, it’s easy to feel like you aren’t doing "enough." But caregiving isn't measured by miles—it’s measured by consistency and heart.

Whether you’re across town or across the country, you can provide a massive lift to your loved one’s journey.

Here are 4 ways to be a "Long-Distance" Rockstar:

The "No-Pressure" Check-in: Send a text or voice memo starting with, "No need to reply, just thinking of you." It lets them feel seen without adding a chore to their list.

Be the Logistical Lead: Distance is actually an advantage for desk work! Offer to manage the shared calendar, handle insurance calls, or organize grocery deliveries.

Build the "Ground Team": Coordinate with local friends or neighbors to handle the physical errands you can't reach, like taking out the trash or picking up mail.

Tech for the Win: Use apps like CaringBridge or Lotsa Helping Hands to keep the whole circle updated without exhausting your loved one with repeat questions.

The Bottom Line: Don't let guilt get in the way of your impact. Focus on what you can do, not what you can't.

We are so excited for the Columbus Survivor Celebration: You’re the One That We Want! on Thursday, June 18th! We’re throwing it back to the 50s for a Grease-themed night of connection, celebration, and pure fun for our amazing survivors, thrivers, and caregivers at Edison Venues.

To make the night even sweeter, a massive thank you to our friends at Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams for donating an incredible lineup for our "diner" social hour! We'll be scooping up the fruity and tart Brambleberry Crisp, the ultimate cookie dough crowd-pleaser Double Dough, and a delicious dairy-free and gluten-free favorite, Peppermint Patty!

Spaces are filling up fast, and it’s going to be systematic, hydromatic, ultramatic! Come for the ice cream, and stay for a beautiful evening of goodie bags, great food, and amazing community.

What a beautiful afternoon of creativity, connection, and joy at Flowers & Friendships at Oberer’s Flowers.

Our survivors and thrivers gathered to laugh, create, and spend time with others who truly understand the journey. From fresh blooms to heartfelt conversations, every arrangement reflected the strength, beauty, and resilience in the room.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and made this gathering so special. Life after cancer deserves moments like these: lighthearted, meaningful, and full of friendship.
