Non-profit agency serving local needs since 1963. 100% of our donations stay here to assist those affected by diabetes in the Miami Valley. We offer
-diabetes self-management education classes
-camps for kids with both type 1 & 2 diabetes (available scholarships)
-emergency supply assistance program (DESAP)
-extremely low cost meter/ test strip program (Bionime)
-Update and circulate a free Diabetes Resource Guide yearly
-$20 A1C screenings offered in house all the time, appointment needed

Diabetes Dayton has a Diabetic Emergency Supply Assistance Panty (DESAP), which is completely donation based. This allows us to help bridge gaps in coverage for the diabetic community.

Snacking isn’t the problem. Here’s how to make it work for you:
1. Aim for 2–3 daily, balanced snacks to prevent eating larger portions during meals and to support your blood sugar control.
2. Be sure to always pair a protein source with a carbohydrate source.
3. Portion and plan snacks to avoid mindless eating.
