Congratulations on being named STNA of the Day! We truly appreciate all the hard work and dedication you bring every day. Check out her story:
"In 1997, my mother became very ill and sadly passed away later that same year. During that difficult time, my siblings and I made a promise that she would not be alone or placed away from her family. We chose to care for her ourselves, surrounding her with love, comfort, and dignity in her final days. That experience deeply impacted me and stayed with me long after her passing.
Although it was a painful loss, it also gave me a sense of purpose. I realized how important it is for individuals to receive compassionate, personal care, especially when they are at their most vulnerable. This realization inspired me to pursue a career in caregiving so that I could provide that same level of comfort and support to others and their families.
In August 2011, I became a State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA). Since then, I have dedicated myself to this field, knowing firsthand how much empathy, patience, and understanding it requires. I take pride in being able to offer not just physical care, but also emotional support and companionship to those in need.
Even today, I continue to strive to give my heartfelt time, attention, and dedication to every person I care for. I treat each individual with the same compassion and respect that I gave my own mother, ensuring they feel valued, safe, and never alone."
