You can truthfully tell me that you buy organic, hit your protein goal, or work out five days a week. Those things matter, but I still want to know what happened during the rest of your day.

Did you sit down for meals?
How much did you graze?
How much of your busy day happened in a chair?
How many hours did you sleep?
What were you carrying that you keep insisting should not affect you?

I call this the healthy-habit halo - we find the thing we are doing well and let it cast a flattering light over everything else.

Before you make another rule, document one ordinary day. Include the things you usually leave out. We cannot coach a version of your life that does not actually exist.

When everything feels important, begin with the thing making everything else harder.

If you are barely eating during the day, begin with healthy real foods.

If exhaustion is controlling your decisions, begin with sleep and recovery.

If constipation and digestive discomfort are persistent, begin with hydration, digestion and elimination.

If you already understand what to do but cannot consistently follow through, you may need accountability more than additional information.

Your first step will not fix your entire body. It's supposed to create enough stability for the next step to become possible.

This is exactly how we approach health inside Wilderness of Wellness. We help women stop chasing everything at once, identify their next meaningful step and receive the education, coaching and community needed to continue.

You’ve read the books, the right books even. Listened to the podcasts. Bought the supplements. Tried the diets. Downloaded the meal plans. Promised yourself that this time would be different. And yet somehow you’re still exhausted, overwhelmed, and wondering why nothing ever seems to stick.

Trying to work on everything that is wrong with your health is one of the fastest ways to change nothing.

You decide you are finally going to get serious about your health, soo naturally, by Monday morning, you have decided to:
👉 Completely change your food.
👉 Drink a gallon of water.
👉 Work out five days a week.
👉 Heal your gut.
👉 Balance your hormones.
👉 Lower your cortisol.
👉 Start six supplements.
👉 Walk 10,000 steps.
👉Go to bed at 9:00.
👉 Meal prep every Sunday.

And become a brand-new woman by Friday... wait this sounds like 75 hard and other programs out there doesn't it, whoops.

Real life is always going to happen. Your schedule is going to get busy, you're going to miss a workout, you're going to have something go wrong with a meal you prepared, and you're going to forget the supplements.

You get behind and because you cannot execute the entire plan perfectly, you decide the whole week is ruined.

Friend, you do not need a plan for fixing your entire body today. You need clarity about what deserves your attention first.

If you are barely eating during the day, nourishment may need to come before the new workout program. I'm offering you a FREE 7-day Meal Blueprint 17-page guided support if you just simply subscribe here: https://f.mtr.cool/k9by75y9uw

I'm not going to give you the newest and latest trend online. If you follow me on Insta you'll see my full video where I do my Monday Musings. It's all about teaching you truth that will never be found in the trends because the truth is not sexy. It's what gets the work done.

Oftentimes your body is carrying too much...
You're serving everyone. Care taking. Too proud to not ask for help for yourself.

This is a part of your functional health, too, and if your providers aren't helping you and mentoring you through this as well as doing advanced labs, they're missing you.

Your body doesn't forget the:
👉 schedule you maintain.
👉 sleep you sacrifice.
👉 tension you normalize.
👉 responsibilities you refuse to release.
👉 the constant access you continue giving everyone around you.

Before you start a new health program or supplement or plan, I want you to figure out if you're carrying things that genuinely belong to you.

Think about what you're carrying because you're afraid to disappoint someone.

Think about what you're carrying because you believe no one else will do it correctly.

This is the kind of honest conversation we continue inside the paid Letters from the Wilderness community, where health, discipleship, responsibility and real life are allowed to exist in the same room. You'll get challenges & support moving the needle in your wellness in those hidden places.

If you refuse to create boundaries, your body may eventually create them for you, and your body is significantly less concerned about being polite than you are.

It will keep whispering for a while.
You are tired.
You need to eat.
You need to go to bed.
You cannot keep doing this.
You need some space.
You need to put something down.

But high-capacity women are extremely good at ignoring whispers.
We can still function, work, take care of everyone, lead the meetings, still answer the messages.

Shoot, we can still show up with a smile on our faces while running on caffeine, adrenaline, and the belief that everything will fall apart if we stop.

So we convince ourselves that we are fine. Except functioning is not the same as being well. Being capable of carrying something does not automatically mean it is ours to carry.

Sometimes the most important thing you can do for your health is not another supplement, test, workout or morning routine.

Sometimes it is saying no.
Sometimes it is letting someone be disappointed.
Sometimes it is allowing another capable adult to experience the consequences of not doing their part.
Sometimes it is admitting that the schedule you created is hurting you.
Sometimes it is becoming unavailable.

Your body still lives inside your actual life.

You cannot continually ask it to absorb the cost of every responsibility, relationship, expectation and commitment you refuse to put down and then become angry with it when it begins protesting.

Before you add another thing to your health plan this week, consider:
1. What could I remove?
2. What am I carrying because it genuinely belongs to me?
3. And what am I carrying because I am afraid of what will happen if I stop?

Your body should not have to become symptomatic before you give yourself permission to put something down.

If you're new around here be sure to follow and then introduce yourself below! We'd love to get to know you!

Fatigue, brain fog, anxiety, cravings, hair loss and weight changes are real symptoms but they do not automatically prove high cortisol, hormone imbalance, thyroid dysfunction or whatever else your feed diagnosed this week.

Similar symptoms can have very different influences. This is why random protocols built around a 30-second video often create more confusion.

If you are tired of guessing, the Functional Health Blueprint gives you a personalized review of your health history, symptoms and patterns so you can better understand what deserves your attention first.

No long-term clinical commitment. No generic protocol. Just a clearer, more informed place to begin.

According to social media, every tired woman has high cortisol, estrogen dominance, nervous-system dysregulation, parasites, mold toxicity, low progesterone and probably some kind of childhood trauma stored in her left hip.

Did I miss anything?

Listen, your symptoms are real, but the diagnosis your feed assigned to them may not be.

Fatigue is real.
Brain fog is real.
Hair loss is real.
Weight changes are real.
Anxiety, cravings, poor sleep and digestive issues are real.

Those symptoms can be influenced by a whole lot of things. Recognizing yourself in a 30-second video does not automatically mean you have uncovered the root cause of what is happening in your body.

Social-media content is designed to make you recognize yourself. That is how it gets your attention.

The problem comes when you take that recognition and immediately build an entire identity, and a $400 supplement order, around it.

Your health story matters to your healing and where you even begin in healing:
1. When did this begin?
2. What changed around that time?
3. How are you eating?
4. How are you sleeping?
5.What medications or supplements are you taking?
6. Have you been sick?
7. What is happening in your relationships, your work and your home?
8. What have you been asking your body to carry?

Those questions are not nearly as exciting as the Hooks of: Here are five signs your cortisol is destroying your hormones.

Let your symptoms give you information and obviously pay attention to your patterns. Then, seek appropriate evaluation when it is needed.

But please, for the love, stop letting an algorithm diagnose you with something new every week. Your feed does not know your whole story.

I saw a need for people to have access to needle moving support with their health that was strategic, timely (hello back to school and gross people), and it needed to be held somewhere where there was community and access to me and my team.

For only $14 + the cost of supplements, Aria (NTP & Birth Coach... and my right hand) and I held live coaching sessions + supported participants in the chat there + provided education as we went.

The results have been coming in.

✅ One woman didn’t sleep well for years. Within 2 and a half weeks of my protocol I created for this Gut Reset she experienced full nights of sleep starting to come into her world. Sleep changes a person... for real!

✅ Another woman was having hormone & blood sugar issues. This woman wanted to lose weight and get control of her health. But she noticed happened as well was her attitude and patience increased. She felt less anxious and overwhelmed.

I am really good at getting you health results in settings like this.

What I know is women especially need a defined period in which to focus, practice taking care of themselves, and receive support.

The next challenge will return to the most basic habits women repeatedly overlook. I’ll announce the details tomorrow, BUT comment below if you’d like me to put you on the list to hear first about what’s next!

Comment NOURISHED and we will make sure you know exactly what's coming before I make my announcement!

A lot of women are struggling because every attempt to get healthy eventually turns into eating less, removing more foods, and trying to control their bodies harder.

That may look disciplined from the outside but if your way of eating leaves you constantly hungry, exhausted, thinking about food, and you still have hormone issues, elevated cholesterol, rapidly aging skin, blood pressure issues, or are on SSRIs, you likely need help nourishing yourself.

Healthy eating should help you build a body that is fed, supported, and capable of carrying out what God has asked of you. It should not become another way to punish yourself.

I wrote more about the difference between nourishment and restriction in this week’s free Letters from the Wilderness.

You already know your body needs food, water, sleep, movement and recovery.

The problem is that you are trying to work on all of it at once. So instead of implementing one thing consistently, you save another post, download another plan and promise yourself you will start everything on Monday.

Choose one specific action. For example, you can choose to eat a balanced meal containing protein, carbs, and fats from REAL FOOD before noon each day.

If nourishment is the foundation you need to work on first, subscribe free to Letters from the Wilderness and I will send you my free 7-Day Meal Blueprint.

It will help you build balanced meals without beginning another extreme plan.
