🖤🕳️ #8 Midnight Black is a brute, almost indomitable black -
a black hole. Highest pigment load of all blacks.
Perfect for blackwork!
Line work is not recommended, as it has an extreme tendency to blow out - that's what it's supposed to do.

We get asked pretty often: "What is the difference between the #5, #6 and the #7?" Quite simply: Our Formulations! They are as individual as you are.

Every tattoo artist works differently. For best results we`ve developed different blacks for different tattooers.

The difference between #5, #6 & #7 is the formulation/ combination of each ingredient. They all contain the same carbon black and the same concentration of it.

Different formulations create different flow profiles and therefore different results.

Try them out to find the formulation that suits you best.

We get asked pretty often what are acrylates and why do they suck? Quite simply: Acrylates are binders and why we avoid using them we want to explain with this post.

Acrylates are binders and could be used in tattoo inks before the REACH regulation came into force. And that was okay. These acrylates were available in cosmetic grade.

However, for good reason, we have been avoiding acrylates as binders in our inks for many years.

1️⃣ Acrylates can in rare cases cause unpleasant side effects such as neurosensory patterns.

2️⃣ Acrylates in tattoo colors lead to longer healing processes of tattoos.

3️⃣ Acrylates in tattoo inks lead to stronger itching during the healing process

4️⃣ Acrylates may contain benzoic acid as a cleavage product, which can cause allergic reactions.

These are IAMINK SUMI #1-4.

The IAMINK SUMI #1 to 4 are the all-rounder and based on the black standard #6 TRUE PIGMENT BLACK.

The constant shades of gray are suitable for fillings as well as linings and additionally bring along all the advantages of the big sisters #6 and #5.

The sophisticated ratio of the gradations forms a clear and meaningful portfolio of the highest quality shades of gray. Laborious reconstructing the tones are superfluous by Sumi.
