At Blue Iris Geriatric & Hospice Massage, our focus is on providing comfort, connection, and compassionate care through gentle therapeutic touch.

Massage can offer many benefits for older adults and hospice patients, including promoting relaxation, easing muscle tension and stiffness, supporting circulation, reducing feelings of stress or anxiety, and creating a sense of comfort and well-being.

Our sessions are designed with the unique needs of each individual in mind. Clients may remain fully clothed throughout their session, allowing them to feel comfortable, secure, and respected. Using gentle, therapeutic techniques such as light massage strokes, soothing compressions, and calming touch, we create a peaceful experience centered around relaxation and dignity.

For geriatric and hospice clients, massage is not about deep pressure or vigorous techniques. It is about honoring the person, listening to their body, and providing a moment of calm, connection, and compassionate presence.

Hello, and welcome to Blue Iris Geriatric & Hospice Massage LLC. 🤍

My name is Deborah Lamb, and I am a Licensed Massage Therapist with nearly 30 years of experience in the field. My journey in massage therapy began in 1997 when I graduated from the Orlando Institute School of Massage Therapy.

For nearly 30 years, I’ve had the privilege of working as a medical massage therapist, and instructor, helping people find comfort through compassionate touch. Throughout my life, I’ve also enjoyed other careers centered around caring for people — from helping families create lasting memories as a travel agent to owning an upscale shoe and accessory boutique in beautiful downtown DeLand.

In 2015, I stepped away from massage and placed my license into retirement. However, I never truly stepped away from the healing ❤️‍🩹 power of touch. During that time, I continued to provide massage for family members and close friends, keeping the connection to the work I’ve always loved.

In 2024, something deeply personal changed the course of my life.

A dear friend’s mother was diagnosed with terminal cancer, and I had the honor of providing gentle massage for her almost every day until she passed. That experience reminded me that even in life’s most difficult moments, people still need comfort, connection, dignity, and caring touch.

Today, I provide gentle, clothed massage for older adults, hospice patients, and those who simply need a calm, comforting presence. I offer mobile massage in the comfort of my clients’ homes and also partner with assisted living, memory care, and hospice communities to bring compassionate care directly to residents where they live.

Every session is individualized, respectful, and focused on enhancing comfort, dignity, and quality of life. It’s a specialized field that requires, knowledge, patience, compassion, and a gentle approach. Older adults, individuals with limited mobility, and those receiving hospice or palliative care, deserve care that honors their dignity and meets them exactly where they are.

My mission is simple:
