Essential oils are being used more and more in hospital settings to help people relax.

I had a woman who used one of our fragrance blends, filled with a calming protocol, before going in for an MRI. Normally, she has to take a significant amount of anxiety medication just to get through it.

She told me—and her friend confirmed—that the essential oils kept her very calm, and she was able to complete the MRI peacefully.

We also offer a special technique that I am certified to teach called the Aroma Freedom Technique. It works neurologically and is truly amazing.

I have worked with almost 700 people over the past 2½ years using this method.

Duke University conducted a study showing that acupuncture helps manage acute musculoskeletal pain.
This study was done in the emergency department and involved 236 patients who came in with back, neck, or extremity pain.
There’s also something called Battlefield Acupuncture, which has been used in medical settings for pain control.
Researchers found that acupuncture’s pain-relieving effects are likely linked to its ability to modulate neuroinflammatory responses.
There have been many studies showing that acupuncture can reduce pro-inflammatory cytokines, such as IL-6, which play a role in activating pain receptors.
Functional MRI studies have also indicated that acupuncture activates different areas of the brain and body.
I have this study available in the office if you’d ever like to read it.
Can you imagine going to your local emergency department and receiving acupuncture for pain?
If you do get injured, contact my office as soon as possible. We’ll be happy to take care of you.

There was a study done at a university in Germany that looked at patients with allergic rhinitis—what most people think of as seasonal allergies caused by pollen. These symptoms can include nasal congestion, sneezing, itching, a runny nose, and watery eyes.

The study found that patients who received acupuncture experienced significant improvement in their symptoms.

In my own experience, I’ve found that we usually start seeing results in about six weeks. What’s even more encouraging is that in the following years, many patients report their symptoms are either nonexistent or greatly reduced.

This shows that coming in for acupuncture a few times a year can help keep the immune system strong and balanced.

If you struggle with seasonal allergies, acupuncture is definitely something to consider! Call my office to get scheduled :)

About 10 years ago, there was a lot of talk about fibromyalgia. Many people struggled because their medical doctors didn’t fully understand it, didn’t always believe it, and often didn’t have a clear plan to help.

One of the most common things I heard was that they were given medication for depression.

I know fibromyalgia is a real condition—I’ve treated enough people with it. I’ve also seen how acupuncture can improve, and in some cases even eliminate, the symptoms.

I’ve had patients who were part of fibromyalgia support groups who eventually stopped going because they no longer had symptoms.

I’ve also found that many people with fibromyalgia have underlying sensitivities and/or allergies, and we can work on those at the same time.

Acupuncture can help bring your body back into balance. It’s relaxing, it’s energizing, and it can support so many different symptoms.

Wouldn’t it be nice to live a life with less pain?

Call for acupuncture.

It’s hard to believe that we’re still dealing with long COVID neurological and sensory symptoms.

A study conducted at Middlesex Health in the United States showed that acupuncture can significantly improve symptoms associated with long COVID—especially loss of smell, altered taste, and brain fog.

Now, we don’t help everybody, but we have helped quite a few people with these situations.

Typically, it takes about six treatments over three weeks to start seeing improvement.

If you know someone who is still suffering from symptoms of long COVID, tell them about acupuncture. It’s not a secret, and it really can help.

There was a study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association last year that offered detailed insights into specific acupuncture protocols for knee pain.

Acupuncture has long been known for helping ease pain, reduce inflammation, and improve mobility. This study helped reinforce what we see clinically every day—real, measurable results.

The needles are very small—teeny tiny. They are placed gently around the knee in very specific points to help stimulate the body’s natural healing response.

What happens is pretty amazing. Acupuncture helps trigger the release of “feel good” chemicals in the body, supports circulation, and encourages the tissues around the joint to relax and recover.

Most of my patients are surprised by how comfortable it is. Many of them end up so relaxed that they fall asleep during the treatment.

If you or someone you know is dealing with knee pain, stiffness, or limited movement, acupuncture is a natural option that’s worth considering.

This is a real-life testimonial from an essential oil user:

"There was a point where I realized… it’s not always just about food.

Sometimes the body is holding onto more than we think.

I came across a perspective that fat cells can act as a storage place for things the body is trying to protect itself from. So instead of forcing weight loss, I focused on supporting my body consistently.

Here’s exactly what I used:

Grapefruit oil taken internally in capsules
A citrus blend combined with Ledum applied topically across my hips and abdomen
I used it daily and generously. Consistency mattered more than anything

Within six weeks, I lost nearly three inches, but what stood out even more:

My skin became noticeably firmer
My jawline tightened where I applied it
My cycle became more regular and comfortable
My complexion cleared

One thing I learned quickly...doing this halfway didn’t work.

Diluting too much, skipping days, or barely applying it didn’t give the same results.

Consistency made the difference.

Also, I believe everyone’s body is different. If your system has more to work through, it may take longer...and that’s okay.

This wasn’t about forcing my body to change…
It was about giving it the support it needed to finally respond.”

Not all essential oils are created equal. Many products on the market contain synthetic fillers, pesticides, or hidden chemicals. When applying something to your skin—or taking it internally—it’s critical to choose oils that are pure, properly sourced, and free from synthetics, parabens, and contaminants.

If you want the exact routine that was used and/or more info on how to use essential oils safely, reach out to us. We’re happy to help walk you through it.

Earlier this year, I received a study showing that MRIs confirm acupuncture can improve brain microstructure, especially in cases of traumatic brain injury.

There are many different types of MRIs. This one is called DTI, which is an advanced form that measures the movement of water molecules within brain tissue.

These studies showed that acupuncture may promote brain network reorganization and repair, meaning it can do more than just provide short-term symptom relief.

I have used acupuncture for brain trauma for many years, and it has been very effective—very effective.

So if you know someone who has had a concussion, a brain injury, or is having trouble with their memory, tell them about acupuncture. Help them move toward a better quality of life.
