🌿 INSIDE THE BOTTLE: BLACK PEPPER 🖤

You know black pepper from your kitchen… but have you ever smelled it as an essential oil?! 👀

✨ Aroma: Warm, spicy + slightly woody
🌱 Botanical: Piper nigrum
🌿 Part used: Dried peppercorns

🗺️ FUN FACT: Black pepper was once so valuable that it was used as a form of currency and payment in parts of the ancient world! Talk about seasoning with some serious value. 😂

In aromatherapy, Black Pepper has a wonderfully warm, grounding, spicy personality that makes it especially fun in fall + winter blends. 🍂

🖤 Would you use Black Pepper essential oil?

This is Inside the Bottle—where we’re getting to know our favorite essential oils, one plant at a time! 🌿

Did you know we do more than just beeswax candles? That’s right, we have essential oils too!

Our owner Michelle is a Certified Aromatherapist and realized that there aren’t a lot of essential oil companies out there that are FULLY transparent about their sourcing and purity. She wanted to change that, and started Ampersand!

We have over 60 essential oils to choose from, all Fair Trade and Organic! We source directly from small business partner farmers - directly from the owners to your shelf! That’s how we are the OG farm-to-shelf essential oil company 🌿

Wondering who we source from? Check out our website, and follow some of our farmers below!

Essentia Bulgaria | Premium Oils
Nisarga Farms Organic
Essential Oil Producer | Jena
Naturally Australian Products

✨ YOU ASKED. WE LISTENED. WE’RE EXTENDING OUR HOURS! ✨

Need essential oils, wellness products, or a little help choosing what’s right for you during the week? We’ve got you! 🙌🏼

We don’t want you to have to wait until the weekend or rearrange your schedule just to stop by. Our shop is here for you when you need us. 🤍

🌿 Our owner, Michelle, is also back in school for Clinical Aromatherapy and is looking for case studies as she continues her education!

Prefer a quieter, more personalized experience? Private appointments are available, too! We know a busy shop can feel overwhelming, so we’re happy to offer one-on-one time. Just schedule at least 24 hours in advance so we can make sure we have staff available to serve you.

✨ More hours. More flexibility. More personalized care.

We can’t wait to see you! 🤍

SO EXCITED that we will be back at Groovy Plants Ranch September 12-13th for Gems & Jams! We’re bringing the best crystal perfume and cologne rollers - can’t wait to see y’all!
