🦟 How do we decide when to spray for mosquitoes? Our Mosquito Control Program monitors mosquito activity throughout the season by collecting and testing mosquitoes from traps across Delaware County for West Nile virus (WNV).

We only spray when a mosquito trap comes back positive or there is a reported human case of mosquito-borne illness. Our goal is to protect your health while using mosquito treatments responsibly.

Residents can also help reduce mosquito activity by:
✔️ Dumping standing water every 3–4 days
✔️ Using EPA-registered insect repellent
✔️ Wearing long sleeves and pants when possible
✔️ Keeping window and door screens in good repair

We had a great time at our first-ever Dad Skills Camp last Saturday — a fun, interactive day where dads learned and practiced hands-on skills to help support the health and well-being of their newborns.

A special thank you to our amazing partner agencies, Action for Children, Triple P parenting at AFC, FatherUp and the Delaware County Board of Developmental Disabilities, for helping make the day possible!

We’re proud of the dads who joined us, learned something new, and shared in the experience. We’re already looking forward to bringing Dad Skills Camp back in 2027!
