Choose your virtual PT coach wisely.
Many people teach PTs how to make money online, but far fewer have built a virtual PT practice themselves.

Before you pay someone, make sure they’re actually a PT who’s living the virtual lifestyle they’re selling.

Make sure they’ve built what you want to build, and that their model helps you keep what you make.

Talk to them first.

Make sure they have the experience, lifestyle, and practice you’re looking for... not just a good sales pitch.

“Torn rotator cuff” can make it sound like surgery is the only option. Usually, it’s not even the first one.

For most partial tears, PT comes first: guided movement to rebuild strength, not a scan and an OR date.

The real catch is fitting a clinic into a week you don’t have room in. That’s exactly what virtual PT was built to remove: same guided plan, same real PT, but no commute.

If “clinic” is why you’ve put it off, virtual PT might be worth a look.

I made a lot of mistakes while figuring out virtual PT.

Charging $40 a session was one of the first... At the time, I thought pricing was just about what people would say yes to, but that’s not really the point.

Your rate has to let you actually do the job well.

If you’re setting your price because you’re scared someone might say no, you need to rethink your worth.

So go ahead and pricd for the practice you actually want to build, not the one you’re afraid of losing.

I made this mistake early so other virtual PTs don’t have to.

This is a real text from a PT who was just starting their virtual side gig.

Selling your own services isn’t something we’re taught in PT school, so for a lot of PTs that’s the part that keeps them stuck.

We know one conversation won’t fix everything. But sometimes, it’s the thing that helps you stop overthinking and start building a little confidence and momentum.
