Have you tried our Move Area?

It's one of the many things included in a day pass (& membership) and includes vibration trainers and a rebounder.

Vibration trainers work to strengthen and stabilize muscles. They make the brain think the body is off balance, thus activating your stabilizers. They are especially great for the core, and can also increase bone density. We recommend using it before the sauna as it prepares your body to begin detoxifying.

Additionally, we have a rebounder. According to studies at NASA, the up-and-down motion from jumping on a rebounder moves the lymphatic system, aiding in detoxification. Again .... a perfect way to "prep" your body for the saunas to get the most out of your detox!

Be sure to try them out next time you visit .... or come on down for a day pass this weekend!

We have a bee update! 🐝

In case you don't know, we have our very own Thermae bee hives at Ft Lauderdale. We get fresh, raw honey that we use in some of our skin care treatments as well as for our teas.

Our beekeeper Evan from Happy Bee Honey Club maintains them for us, and has reported they are doing amazingly well.

Raw honey has so many incredible healing properties and benefits inside and out. It's a natural antibacterial, so it's great topically and also internally (perfect when you're sick) ... and it's also moisturizing and full of antioxidants, which slows aging.

We're so happy our bee colony is thriving. Next time you stop by, bee sure to try some of our honey (either on your face or in you drink) 😀

Loving kindness for the win. ❤️

What we also loved about this article was that all participants were brand new to meditation, suggesting that you don't have to spend years in intensive meditation training for it to have a positive effect on your health.

It's never too late to begin ... so start today. (Did we mention we have a meditation space at Thermae? 😊)

Kindness is its own good—but it can also bring health benefits.

"If you need a good detox go to Thermae!

I was instantly greeted with a warm smile and asked if I would like some water or tea. Sonya, was very inviting and hospitable to all my needs. She was very calm, and always checked up on me if I needed anything!

I started with the sauna and I was given flavored water with electrolytes and proceeded to the chromotherapy where she explained what light therapy can do to help release emotions and gain insight into my wellbeing.

After, I had an amazing deep tissue massage from Ashley and she is also attuned to Reiki so that was a plus! After my massage Sonya escorted me to the binaural meditation room where I went into a very beautiful trance to finish off my self care day!

I highly recommend Thermae! Self care is so important. ❤️" -Lauren S., Boardman, OH

So grateful for these kind works from our guests 🙏🏼☺️

Our latest meditation is now available -- this one is on the physical body.

The human body consists of five layers of energy—the first is the physical body, which has weight, shape and volume. It’s the most tangible “You.”

The physical body can be clearly and felt through our five senses. It is the densest form of energy that our consciousness uses to interact with its environment.

Our guided meditation takes you on a journey of awareness through the Physical Energy Body using the practice of Yoga Nidra. It supports a calm and settled body while keeping your thoughts keenly focused.

Benefits include:

• Balanced left and right brain hemispheres
• Greater confidence
• Heightened awareness
• Integration of body and mind
• Deep restorative sleep
• Healthier body image

Self-care is now MAN-datory.

Men, you do so much for so many. It's no wonder you often feel overwhelmed. Take time for yourself to recharge and tend to your health on all levels: physical, mental, emotional and energetic. You’ve earned it .... and you deserve it.

National Men's Health Week is coming up this month: June 12 to June 18 .... and Thermae Retreat proudly recognizes it. We want to honor all the men out there, and support their health and well being!

Tag a man in your life who you'd like to see take more time for himself.

Maintaining healthy skin should be a priority for everyone - men and women.

Our skin is our largest organ and most protective barrier against harsh environments. It requires proper
cleansing, detoxification and hydration to remain soft and radiant.

Our men’s facial treatment ($109) renews skin on a cellular level and strengthens the health of muscles and bones in the face. The combination of lymphatic activation, acupressure, and deep tissue with the holistic power of organic herbs, barks, plants, and botanical oils stimulate the release of toxins, encourages stronger blood flow and increases oxygen to your cells to repair and nourish skin from the inside out.
