Some important reminders and a few new updates:
Please be sure to provide or update your vaccination records with me when your dogs go in for their annual visit. Dogs not up to date, will not be able to board without them. If you have any questions, just send me a message.
After years of working 7 days a week, every holiday, and every weekend. I am changing my grooming schedule a bit to allow myself some breathing room. I groom part time (2 to 3 dogs a day) but often groom 7 days a week to accommodate everyone including my own. I will no longer be scheduling grooming appointments on Friday or Saturday’s to allow me more time to groom the dogs that board with me. Friday’s and Saturday’s are my busiest days in the kennel and Fridays are my most busiest days for drop offs. I will
offer a day during the week to book later grooming appointments to help with those who can’t take time off work for their appointments. I will also not be doing mobile nail trims any longer. They are too hard to accommodate with my busy schedule and I can utilize that time for grooming appointments here.
Also, a reminder grooming prices changed September 1st.
I’m not exactly sure how next year is going to go for me. I will be looking for a back up kennel attendant. I have someone in mind, that a few of you already trust. But, I haven’t spoken to her yet. I have received a notice that I may have to serve for jury duty sometime next year. With my luck, it will be spring break week. lol I can’t be away all day and leave dogs unattended so, I’ll have to have a back up plan in place. Most of you know my mom lives with me, here in the past few months she has broken a bone in her foot and recently fell off a chair she was standing on to measure a window. We are still waiting on X-ray results. She has been hobbling around for a week now with no signs of improvement in her hip. As she gets older, I’m sure she is going to throw me some curve balls to deal with. I am not originally from Michigan, she is my only family here. My family back home also has a lot of health issues and I need to make sure I have someone who can fill my shoes if need be. Cadence, my daughter will always help out when she can. This year she went full time with her own business Grit and Grace Detailing. She has been successful and her schedule is full. Due to her job and traveling to other businesses for work she will no longer be offering in house dog sitting for me. I do have someone else I can refer out if you still need someone. I am hopeful next year goes just as smooth but, I do need a back up plan in place.
I am attaching the boarding policies off the website for a reminder below.

Here at Grit and Grace Farm LLC, we do not allow group play in the play yard. When your dog (s) are in the yard, it is just your dog (s). I stay in the play yard with the dogs. The dogs get socialization with me, and they can still interact with the other dogs through the kennel fence. I get dogs from every background and do not give a temperament test. I have many reasons for not allowing group play (Unless from same family), but it ultimately comes down to safety for all.
