No Two People Are the Same

Same diagnosis.Different experience.
Hydrocephalus can have different causes, symptoms, treatments and neurological or cognitive effects.

People also have different strengths, challenges, circumstances and ways of adapting.

What works brilliantly for one person may not work at all for another.
There is no one-size-fits-all approach to living with hydrocephalus.
That matters because assumptions can create barriers.

The person matters more than the label.

Understanding the individual means asking:
🌻What does this person experience?🦋What helps them?🌻What makes things harder?🦋What could make things more manageable?

The answer will be different for everyone.

💙 Same diagnosis doesn’t mean same experience.

I got these for Before and After surgery. Going to walk with them.

Recovery from a CSF leak isn't a straight line.

It's not a steady climb where each day is a little better than the last.
It's good days and hard days, sometimes in the same week.
Sometimes in the same hour.
A brilliant morning can be followed by an afternoon flat on your back — and that doesn't mean you've gone backwards.
It means you're healing, in the messy, non-linear way healing actually happens.

For many people, feeling truly like yourself again can take a long time, months sometimes years. Theres nothing wrong with you, its just how your body is healing.

So please — be gentle with yourself.
Rest when your body tells you to, not when your to-do list allows it.
The rest isn't giving up; it's part of the recovery.

And if you know someone or care for a loved one with a CSF leak:
The good days are wonderful — but a good day is not a finish line.
It's a window, and it can be a fragile one.
Please don't read a bright morning as "they're better now" and pile on the plans, the outings, the catch-ups. The kindest thing you can do is let the good days be gentle too, so they don't cost three hard ones in return.

Healing is happening, even on the days it doesn't feel like it. 🤍

Repost to remind anyone healing its a messy recivery, but its a recovery! 💖

Hey Meta Facebook this page is about a 30 year old living with an incurable medical condition who can’t work a whole lot when headaches and symptoms come about. This page not only helps myself, the people who live with it as well as I do, and the caregivers that give their all to take care of people with this condition.

I don’t know how I was flagged for a post on here, and not earning anymore money, since all I post about is my life and my condition.

Please reconsider your decision and get on with the review you are processing still after about two weeks.

This isn’t fair. should and will be known.
