Dear Cape Codders,
We need housing for working people. Small businesses like mine, are suffering greatly with an overall lack of employees due to an ever increasing housing shortage. You need to allow the cape to ebb and flow and yes, sometimes change. If we continue to gatekeep cape cod against affordable housing, businesses like mine will surely disappear. To anyone who is actively fighting against housing in order to maintain the cape of their childhoods, i urge you to please reconsider because from my outside perspective I can see its not sustainable. So many businesses are already gone. Im struggling myself to service everyone interested in massage therapy over the summer months. I bought land on the cape with the intention of building affordable housing myself and that will happen once I can afford to build it. We need to be the solution and the light. Please allow housing, build housing, support local businesses and be good neighbors.
