Safeway to Close Grocery Store in Aurora

It's always a sad day when a neighborhood grocery store closes leaving our residents with fewer options.

Last week, Safeway announced that they will be closing 10 stores in Colorado and one of those grocery stores on the list is at 12200 E. Mississippi Avenue in Aurora.

Other Safeway grocery stores slated for closure in Colorado:

Colorado Springs - 2
Denver - 1
Englewood - 1
Fort Collins - 1
La Junta - 1
Lamar - 1
Loveland - 1
Northglenn - 1

Recent store closures include a Safeway grocery store in Lakewood and one Centennial.
