Gratitude genuinely changes the way we experience life, and science backs it up. Studies show that practicing gratitude can:

✅ Improve mental health
✅ Lower stress levels
✅ Strengthen relationships
✅ Rewire the brain

The more we train our minds to notice what’s going right, the less power we give to constant comparison, anxiety, and negativity.

Lately, I’ve been trying to appreciate things more: the people who check in, the quiet mornings, the conversations that bring clarity, the lessons hidden inside difficult moments, and even the struggles that forced growth.

Gratitude doesn’t always come from having everything. Sometimes it comes from realizing how much is already there. 🤍🌿

I used to think balance was something you earned after you worked hard enough.

So I kept pushing.
And pushing.
And pushing.

Until my body finally said, “we can’t keep living like this.”

What happened when I stopped running myself into the ground?

👉 I started listening to my body instead of fighting it.
👉 I stopped chasing perfection.
👉 I learned that rest could be productive too.
👉 And I realized peace feels a lot better than constantly proving yourself.

I don’t want a life that looks successful but feels exhausting.

I want a life that actually feels good to live.

Turns out, a lot of people are tired of living in survival mode too. Helping others create balance has become one of the most meaningful parts of this journey.

That’s exactly why I created my online course, Foundations— to help you reconnect with your body, regulate your nervous system, and build sustainable habits that support your life instead of draining it.

This is the roadmap I wish I had years ago… but I also understand now that living it myself is what allows me to help others create lasting change. 🌿✨

The “Sunday Scaries” are often more than just stress about Monday.
They can be a sign that your body and mind are craving more balance, rest, boundaries, and support.

Creating balance doesn’t mean your life becomes perfect or stress-free. It means learning how to support yourself consistently so overwhelm doesn’t become your baseline.

A few small shifts can make a big difference:
• Prioritizing sleep
• Moving your body regularly
• Taking breaks from constant stimulation
• Creating moments of calm throughout your day
• Setting boundaries around work and energy

Your nervous system notices how you care for yourself daily.

What’s one practice that helps you feel more grounded before a new week begins? ⬇️

Throughout my career as a physical therapist, I’ve often felt that something was missing in the way we approach healing. When treatment focuses only on research and clinical protocols, so much can be left unsaid, especially the space between evidence and the intuition of what is truly creating imbalance. While science is essential, it doesn’t always capture the full human experience. Many healing practices that have supported wellness for centuries continue to be overlooked, often because they fall outside the scope of what the insurance industry is willing to recognize or cover.

It has taken time and energy to fully explore and grow into this space. Completing yoga teacher training in 2016 marked the beginning of this journey. I created Natural Balance Wellness in 2019 with a vision that has only become clearer since then.

Over the past 20 years as a physical therapist, I’ve had the privilege of helping thousands of people heal and move better. I’m excited to build on that foundation and help even more people create greater balance, wellness, and alignment in their lives.

Thank you all for being here. I’m so grateful for your support.

Are you your own greatest ally? This question came up in a podcast this morning and then again in a conversation with a friend today.

In this world there are a lot of critics. A lot of people will criticize you for your decisions, your life, your opinions, and your work. Make sure that YOU are not one of those people! Be your own greatest ally. You can do so much more when you get your mind on your side!

Often I get so caught up in what I am working on that I forget to enjoy the present. Life seems to be spinning so fast recently. This past weekend I was able to recharge in one of my favorite places. This quote came to mind while I was standing at this lake. It’s a good reminder for all of us.

⛰“Be happy in the moment, that’s enough. Each moment is all we need, not more.”⛰
