What's your Why?

Pediatrician Sundus Elfadil, M.D., sought ABOM certification to provide better care for the increasing number of pediatric patients with obesity.

"With the increasing prevalance of pediatric patients with obesity, I recognized an opportunity to better serve my patients by becoming certified in obesity medicine. Preventing and effectively managing obesity during childhood can significantly reduce the risk of obesity and its associated health complications in adulthood. Through this additional training, I hope to provide evidence-based care that empowers children and their families to achieve healthier lifelong outcomes."
