Scenes from last night’s spring CE meeting! Dental anesthesiologist Dr. Kris Mendoza presented on managing pediatric complications during sedation and dental work. Following the lecture, residents from Denver Health and Children’s Hospital Colorado shared highlights from their recent trip to Washington DC for the AAPD Pediatric Oral Health Advocacy Conference. The POHAC is an annual meeting where pediatric dentists and residents lobby Congress on children’s oral health issues.

Yesterday we gathered for the annual Colorado Academy of Pediatric Dentistry Luncheon at the 2026 Rocky Mountain Dental Convention. We had a great business meeting and updates from both residencies. Thank you for attending and great seeing so many friends and colleagues!

The Rocky Mountain Dental Convention is two weeks away!
On Friday, January 23 CAPD is sponsoring the Pediatric Specialist Lectures with Dr. John Christensen, a dual trained orthodontist and pediatric dentist. MDDS has also included lectures with pediatric dentists Dr. Kami Hoss and Jeanette McLean on Thursday and Saturday, respectively.
Please also join us for the Annual CAPD Luncheon at the Embassy Suites across from the Convention Center! There will be a hot lunch buffet, a small member gift, and time to connect with colleagues and friends.
