Who knew life-saving equipment could be this chic?

Consider Elliot the ultimate accessory 😉💎

Apparently we’re ranking everything now… so Paige ranked AEDs 👀

Before the lawyers start hyperventilating: this is an unofficial tier list, not a clinical comparison.

Some legends. Some new kids. Some controversial placements. And yes, we shamelessly put Elliot in S tier. We literally work here 😂

Agree? Disagree? Tell Paige what she got wrong👇

But there’s one ranking we’ll defend all day:

The best AED is the closest AED™

Put AEDs closer to people❤️⚡️

*HeartHero Elliot is not FDA approved or available for sale in the United States. FDA PMA review is ongoing.

Heart failure sounds scary, but it doesn’t mean your heart has stopped 💔

Nurse Gwenny breaks down what heart failure actually means, what can cause it, and explains ejection fraction with a simple visual that makes it much easier to understand! 🫀

Knowing what’s happening inside your heart can make a complicated diagnosis feel a little less overwhelming.

Can an AED accidentally shock someone who doesn’t need it? 👀

Nurse Gwenny is here to clear this one up!

An AED checks the heart rhythm first and determines whether a shock is actually needed.

❌ No shockable rhythm = ❌no shock

So when every second counts, the AED takes the guesswork out of your hands

Sometimes you just have to appreciate it from every angle 👀

Sudden cardiac arrest can happen to anyone, even someone who looks healthy, active, and has no known heart condition 👀

While there are steps we can take to reduce our risk, there are also factors we can’t control.

That’s why preparedness matters! 💪

Know how to recognize sudden cardiac arrest, call for help, start CPR, and use an AED if one is available.

Because when SCA happens, being prepared can make all the difference

Hollywood has lied to us🎬⚡

You know the scene... the monitor flatlines, someone yells “CLEAR!”, and everyone jumps back.

Turns out, that’s not how it works.

A flatline, also called asystole, isn’t a shockable rhythm because there’s no electrical activity for a defibrillator to reset.

Defibrillation works by interrupting an existing but chaotic electrical rhythm, giving the heart a chance to return to a normal rhythm.

The good news? You don’t have to know any of that in an emergency.

Modern AEDs, like Elliot, analyze the heart rhythm for you and automatically deliver a shock if a shockable rhythm is detected, then guide you through the rest of the rescue with clear voice prompts.

So the next time you see a flatline get shocked on TV, you’ll know better 😉
