What stirs up when you see this image and read these words? When I first saw this, something didn't land right. Yes, of course, if a man is reading this, it could stir in him, the desire to create a heaven here on earth for his beautiful angel... But what does an angel mean? I looked up the word. And this is what it said: " a person of exemplary conduct or virtue." A lot of us think of someone who is always kind, soft, walks with grace, nice, innocent, etc, which in of its self is beautiful on its own... But here is the internal truth for me.
I am an angel and I am also not. In my "exemplary" conduct I am not always perceived as "nice". â
â
I rage when I need to rage. I speak up, share and show my fire when it is needed. I have done things that are not honest. I have been incredibly honest even when it would have been easier to lie. I have done things that are considered "wild" and not so innocent. I have been meek when I needed to be bold. I have flown off the handle, when I could have harnessed some softness. I have been kind when it would have been easier to be mean. â
â
I am perceived innocent by many, but on some days internally can feel flawed. â
â
With all of this, I am still an angel. So here is the rub.... Some where along the line through out generations of time, we have decided women need to be an "angel" from our internal perceptions. Putting them in boxes and paradigms that have left them feeling caged, throats closed and hiding out in secrets of shame. Women feeling like a "man" should create her heaven or she will always be in hell.â
â
From the vantage I see from, I see an opportunity. An opportunity for women to claim their sovereignty and power and to create her heaven with her creator. â
â
Not with an external human, she calls a "man", "partner", "lover", etc. She links up with divine power, love, light and she owns she is all of it and she is none of it. â
â
She creates because she can, no matter her past, no matter what anyone has branded her as, and she flows into her heaven.
She is the decider of that reality. She recognizes that no one can create her heaven... Only she can. And when she owns it, embodies it, sheds it, feels it, believes it, it doesn't matter who tries to walk her through hell, cage her in hell, she is never really there... â¤
