Huge thank you to PureWest for choosing PaRC Place as their charity partner for the Colfax Marathon and helping raise more than $11,000 to support families in our community! 🏃‍♀️💙

We are incredibly grateful for every runner, donor, volunteer, and supporter who made this possible. Special shoutout to our founder Kim and board member Grace for lacing up and completing the 5K in support of PaRC Place!

This weekend was such a beautiful reminder of what community looks like — people coming together, showing up for one another, and making a real difference for children and families.

🏃‍♀️💙 Running with purpose. Running for families.

This year, the PureWest Running Team is taking on the Denver Colfax Marathon to support PaRC Place—and we couldn’t be more grateful.

Every mile they run helps bring compassionate respite and end-of-life care to children with life-limiting conditions and the families who love them. Through PaRC Place, families receive up to 28 nights of respite care each year, creating space for rest, connection, and dignity during life’s hardest moments.

The Colfax Marathon is more than a race—it’s one of the largest running weekends in the Rocky Mountain region, bringing together thousands of runners to move for something bigger than themselves.

What a powerful and inspiring afternoon.

Thank you to everyone who joined us as PaRC Place introduced a renewed vision for the future—Hayley House, a family-centered pediatric palliative and respite care home designed to bring comfort, dignity, and compassionate support to children and their families.

This was not just an event—it was a moment of alignment, of community, and of bold commitment to what’s possible.

Meet Board Member Kevin Rifkin!

"For as long as I can remember, I have been involved with helping folks with disabilities through athletics. As a result, I have had occasional encounters with the current end-of-life care system for young adults. After hearing the statistics for the need for this kind of care and the mission of PaRC Place, I was immediately ready to help where I could. Being able to create a space that is welcoming, warm, and provides everything the family needs during what is likely the hardest time in their life is something I hope to use my skill set to achieve. I'm grateful and excited to be part of an organization of talented and passionate people who are working to make this goal a reality.”

Meet Board Member Tracy Price-Johnson!

“I have long been interested in supporting families who need extensive medical care for their children with special health care needs. In 1994, I found my daughter, Hayley, needed numerous surgeries for her orthopedic issues presented at birth. We went through months of hospitalizations, surgeries, and experimental treatments to help her with these needs. I so want to be there for other families who feel isolated and exhausted through this journey, and especially desire to support families at the end of life. I am so grateful to be part of an organization whose mission is providing this level of care and compassion for families.”
